I have been teaching British English phonics for 30 years all over the world. I use your videos sometimes, Abi, (with some small kids who like the kinship they find in a female face). I find your videos engaging and just right for a small Chinese girl, but I do have to tell you that I regularly have to tell my students that certain pronunciations that you give are incorrect. Today, for example we do not teach the letter n sound as you say it at all. The is no schwa at all before the 'n' yet you definitely say 'un'. There are numerous other examples. I want to help you iron them out. I was very reticent to comment, but can't sit on my hands any longer. I hope you understand my motivation is totally respectful and honourable: I'm just a stickler for accuracy.

Hello Gary, thank you for taking your time to provide positive and constructive feedback. Certain sounds such as ‘b’ it is sometimes difficult to avoid the uh sound but I do always try to avoid this! I will take on board the advice for ‘n’. Are there any other sounds in particular you have noticed? Very pleased your students enjoy my videos😊 I wish you and them all the best! Many thanks, Abi

@@abionlineteach There are - and I will think about how best to convey the inaccuracies. It's not easy to conduct such a process in text. But: You add a schwa to the final part of some letter sounds, such as 't' (saying 'tuh'). Similarly, with the sounds for 'd, m, n, p, etc.
