I agree. The weird and surreal aesthetic these old ACTN bumpers had was probably better than whatever edgelordy stuff they're doing now (though I wouldn't know since I stopped watching TV after KZbin made it easier)

Yep. That was primarily what I watched on AS at the time. Shin Chan, Inuyasha, Eureka 7, FLCL, etc. I kinda stopped watching the anime as much when it was on Saturday only because I would fall asleep early or either my family might have been somewhere, or I was most likely gaming. lol. It was way easier to watch daily.

Whoa this took me back to a part of my life i had forgot. Reminds me of the times I would go over an aunt's house just to watch adult swim. Crazy 2005 was so long ago, but it feels like yesterday.

Nice sharing your experience. I remember seeing these kind of bumps when I was still too young to be watching AS lol but these bumps drew me in despite me not understanding the adult humor of the shows. These bumps made adult swim more than just a channel for cool adult cartoons. I find it weird 2005 was 17 years ago now too.

A lot of the songs on these were known at the time. Unlike many of the normal, non ACTN bumps which used Turner Library tracks.

I have been looking for 00:15 for years, and after still not finding it in any AS bumper compilations I gave it up for just a fever dream I must have had. Thanks so much for finding and posting this one! I remember all of these very clearly from when I used to tape my favorite anime episodes back in 2003-2006.

I kinda see why these were replaced so quickly. They were pretty repetitive as they only seemed to make a handful of bumps that repeated throughout the night. I guess AS wasn't fully ready to transfer from the Tokyo Bumps era to this one.

I agree, I loved these things since I was about 10 or so. To the point I used to try making my own. I actually stumbled upon the ones I made when I was younger on my computer last weekend. :) The music is also great and kind of shaped in some of my music tastes.

The Thursdays at the time were Dear Adult Swim bump nights until 1AM. Here's the Thursday bump lineup from March 2005 below. @@swordofll9599 Yeah lol. It wasn't until May 28, 2005, when the 2nd ACTN Bumps came that they made more bumps to fill up slots. The January 2005 ACTN Bumps repeated a lot. Especially Saturdays.
