I made a list, use it lol Also bring a space heater to load test each receptacle for 3 min, Apt. Check: Start at front door Check door, frame, locks - everything Check back door-porch Closet doors bathroom doors ect -Turn on all lights, use lights as -markers for rooms already inspected Look at walls, holes Look for brown stains on ceiling/walls Paint is good and same color on walls Blinds, curtains, shutters -Floors, check level, damage, carpet -smell, wet spots, frayed, Tile, laminate, hardwood Kitchen: Cabinet doors - shelves , bugs Under sink, water damage, mold smell Drawers open close, damage ect Counter top chips ect -Fridge, door, light, temp, ice, freezer -doors inside and shelves Dishwasher, door, rack, run a cycle -Stove, all burners, oven door, oven heat -oven shelve, exhaust fan, light ect Kitchen sink, cold, hot, garbage disposal, -hose, leaks, Receptacles: bring meter, heater for load -Bathroom, sink, Fart fan, sink drain -speed, drain opens and closes 1x Shower, pressure, shower head, walls, glass doors, trim around rim 1x Bathtub: drain, speed, diverter, where tub meets floor, 2x Toilet, mounted right, water around floor -Flush, runs after?, hardware 2x Bedrooms, fans, lights, walls, trim, -windows, sealed, drafty, blinds 2x Closet, floor, walls, smells, shelves, -ceilings, doors AC, does push cold air, filter Heat, does push hot air Smoke detectors- test button Washer/dryer - run cycle Hot water tank, water damage, Breaker box, test circuits by trip Porch, look around, fan, floor, hand rail HAVE IN WRITING on lease WHAT IS BROKEN AND WILL BE FIXED BY LANDLORD

I rented a place they painted the closet door to the wall so when I opened it the first time it ripped off the wall marked it on my check in paper work as sclowns tried to charge me on the way out
