While this has not always been the case, it has been at least since the '70's. I had worked with profoundly mentally retarded people back in the early '80's. For YEARS very day, the teachers would allow one of the highest functioning residents to beat one of the lowest functioning residents. When I had them, I wouldn't allow it and instead brought the offender to a bunch of toys she could pummel safely. The teachers complained and said that the immobile resident with the 6 mo. mental age should learn how to fight with very much more mobile and aggressive resident with the 1 yr. old mental age. it's quite beyond ridiculous.

@@pamelamorris3148 True but the adults working there are supposed to protect the children. They are allowed to get angry at the bullies to stop and keep the kids from hurting the boy. Idk what the hell the adults were doing it seems almost sadistic. Only other thing I can think of is maybe they had their backs turned (can't tell where the adults are and where they are facing in the vid.) Since the child is unable to speak and is small, maybe the bullies were able to silently torture him without getting caught. It's really sad he must have gone home with bruises or a security guard could have saw this play out randomly

I'm the mother of an autistic child and while it's awful to think about my child being in this situation or any child getting hurt... You do have to take into consideration that the staff are bound by laws and regulations that specify at no time are they allowed to restrain or grab a student for any reason. I don't know what a staff member could have done to intervene without physically grabbing or restraining either child? He is so sweet and innocent and would never hurt anyone. He feels more than most people and loves more than most people....so when I see someone abuse a child like that it makes me so sad for them bc I know that they are especially hurt bc of the abuse and hate. My son would be so hurt. It breaks my heart. I literally can not understand how someone could do this....The adults. I dont blame the children. The older child was special needs as well. It appears the adults were egging it on. Patting him on the back for a job well done.....Its GROSS. I just watched another teacher abusing an autistic little girl and boy. I do not like how these schools push things under the rug and try to minimize it when calling parents. A little black girl died after a fight at school, she had an unknown underlying condition but the fight caused it to worsen to death. The other child was a known problem child and she didn’t get in any type of criminal trouble 🥺🤦🏽‍♀️ This is horrible, and a parent’s nightmare. We try so hard to protect our children, just for these misbehaved children that are not being raised right to do these things. I say start addressing THE PARENTS of the bullies, something is happening (or not happening) at home that is shaping the child to be this way, it’s not okay.

The schools I attended back in the day would scare the piss out of todays generations. Back then a teacher could kick your ass and throw you out of a second story classroom window( this actually happened) and nothing would have been said. Your parents would have just beat your ass for disrespecting a teacher. Teachers didn't play back then. Now that was Hell, but you learned survival skills quickly or became a victim. children are not taught to mind their manners by their parents or to behave around others including their peers. They only understand violence. So, take each child and bring back in the strap and capital punishment into the school system. Bring back the fear into their lives knowing they face getting hurt if they hurt anyone else. The teachers in the hallway should have grabbed that older boy, dragged him screaming into the Principal's Office, pulled down his pants and used the leather strap on his backside until it bled. Then, called his parents and the police so the incident can be dealt with and legal charges of assault and battery can be made against the older juvenile delinquent.

But sure let's just ignore the fact that those who have autism are significantly more likely to be bullied in school statistically (don't believe me look it up) and let's just ignore the fact that a couple of 10 year olds killed in cold blood and with malice a 2 year old in the UK in I think it was the mid 80's or early 90's. Bless his heart, I can’t imagine how he felt. I’m glad they got caught and I hope justice is served and that the child gets counseling, hopefully this does not scar him

Surprised by this? I'm not. Absolutely disgusting. No consequences and these under and misguided kids with a sh1tty parent know it. Yes, parent. It's not plural on purpose ladies. This is exactly why our society is failing.

No I'm with you on that 1 parents may also raised a bully to pick someone that's shorter than him, it's shockingly bad.

You are sexist against women and ignorant. It takes 2 to make a child and 2 to raise the child. It is just as much the father's responsibility as it is the mother's. BOTH dad and mom are responsible!!! You said, "a sh1tty parent know it. Yes, parent. It's not plural on purpose ladies" Sure, it's ONLY women why society is falling apart. Where the H*** did you come from? so confused **

I get the staff and the school need to be held accountable, but I can't help but wonder why isn't there that much anger to the actual students that actually did it

Its 100 percent the school board and every employee there. I got expelled a few times and got temporarily expelled literally as many times as you could be, over a lot less. This happened in elementary school, my buddy jason got jumped by a few kids that were always calling him unibrow and he told them to shut up. Anyway all 3 of those kids, not Jason, got expelled with police charges for assualt. They were like 11 years old. Didnt matter. Jason is special needs. I got expelled for hitting a bully back once, shits crazy. This is a problem for the school district and we need universal education systems that are all connected.

All schools is like this they say they can’t break up a fight or stop it so this is one of the reasons I was scared to send my child to school it’s happening everywhere

@@Cookingwithcandy_50 Yea that’s tough and it’s not an easy decision! My son is out of elementary and junior high and has never needed special attention or been in classes with what’s obviously a violent neglected student that should’ve probably been removed long before this happed. There are facilities and programs all over the country to better deal with a child like this, and public or private school is not the place. The parents of that child should be held to criminal charges in the least! If i were you I would still pull him from that school as long as that child is still there. I hope the child is doing well!

When I was in school if me or any of my friends saw a special needs kid getting picked on we went up and beat up the asshole. "NOT SO FUNNY ANYMORE HUH!?!" Teachers would give us detentions, but we never showed up. When the school called our parents we would tell them what really happened and our parents were proud that we stuck up for the vulnerable.

The woman with the cowboy hat is not playing around. Her hat says it all. This situation is sad. God bless the child and the family. I hate the term dropping the ball. It implies that these people had the ball at one point which they never did
