When you go past Walkabout it reminds me of a story my nephew told us. Several years ago while he was a student he worked in a branch of Walkabout, he then worked as a secondary school teacher but still worked behind the bar at weekends. After a while he realised that some of his underage students were customers and if they recognised him their orders would suddenly change to soft drinks!

I lived in Blackpool in the early seventies and worked at Jenks bar as a barmaid. Very very busy even in the winter months. It was over 3 floors. I loved it and Blackpool too. Lovely flog Steven xx

I lived in Blackpool from the early 80's to the early 90's. Its always been a buzzing place but I must admit It looks a lot cleaner now than it did then. My favourite venue was "Flashmans" on Talbot Rd, probably long gone nowadays.

My favourite places in Blackpool used to be flares (now Popworld) rumours and hush (now trilogy) always a good night out but at least the soul suite and reflex (the Foxhall) are still going always a good night to be had in Blackpool

Don’t understand it when I lived in Blackpool back in the 70s off season use to rock , all the local would come out and party after working all hours in the season, you would never see it so dead.times have changed .

Palace nightclub was great in the early 90’s and there was a place underneath it called Love Shack. It was under a Amusement Arcade and was definitely different in there. I remember going in and there was a load of people walking round with Gasmasks on 😂

Loved this vlog. It's so nice to see how quiet Blackpool is off-season. I remember when Sinless was in that old cinema in Central Drive in the 90s & I can also vouch for the Bank the food in there is fab 👍 I ate so much in there I ended up waddling down the prom 😋 😀 😂🤣 did you have your hard hat on when you walked past Ma Kelly's 😀 🤣🤣😂😂

I remember when Ma Kellys used to be The Station, corner of Dickson Rd. We used to go in it. Probably named after Blackpool North station which was just across the road before they moved it back

If I'm honest, I use to go to Heaven on the prom. And miss that place as I thought it was great. Also, Edens on the Prom is great too. The Galleon bar is the best pub 8n Blackpool.

I love ❤️ Blackpool for entertainment and dining out it depends on how you want to spend your evening but I would definitely recommend the Yorkshire fisheries for your fish and chips it’s lovely food!

In the 80s I used to occasionally come to Blackpool by train for the day when I wanted a drink didn't want to drive. On the way home to the station used to stop off at where Yates wine lodge used to be. I'm sure we used to go downstairs for a meal. Did I just imagine this? Was there a restaurant?
