An impressive result from an unassuming bit of kit. Would be great if it was pressed into service again after all these years. Nice one!

I'd reach for it before the Taylor next time.

Nice one Oj, something a little bit different-that was never left in the damp anyway. That is unusually low HT! Makes a battery set look excessive! That's as close as makes no difference, spot on in my eyes.

Funny, I mentioned Cossor the other day, and looking at that casing on your signal generator, it looks identical to the case of my Cossor 1340 "alignment generator". Indeed, the styling is exactly the same. So much so that you could stand them together and swear blind they're the same manufacturer. That's a nice little job you did there, but I do wonder, for as precise as the calibration maybe, could an engineer in a busy workshop, under pressure to get the job done, really be as accurate as the machines he's using? - As you said, just a needle width off. Is the hard pressed engineer going to be just a needle width off? Or more like two or three!

In these days of digital frequency counters, dmm, etc. we can forget that there was far more tolerance given in the old devices we work on.

I wonder if they was no leekage because it's in such a sealed compartment?
