The only map with a turn limit being introduced late into the game? What is this, Fire Emblem Engage? 3:48 Drake's dialogue is still pretty weird knowing the story's context. 6:43 They remind me of pool noodles. 20:34 That's a good line.

I love how Engage gives you a tutorial on time limits, in CHAPTER 24. 3:48 The Andy route is the only one that mildly makes sense for him, which is kinda fitting as that was how you originally unlocked him.

0:57 This ought to be good. 3:57 Is there a Fire Emblem Map that's a reverse-Defend map? There were a few 'achieve certain goals within the time limit' maps, but nothing like this as far as I remember. 8:32 So, when we beat you, you'll be a landlubber? Good to know. 10:50 I always hate it when mis-clicks happen. I've lost a ton of competitive battles in the Maison that way. 19:42 Is that a Taken reference? 20:12 I like it.

3:57 I feel like there's at least one, but I can't quite remember which. Oh right, Crimson Flower Chapter 12, except that one has no time limit. 10:50 When it gets someone killed in Fire Emblem, it's the worst. 19:42 Not really, I was just doing a generic menacing voice.

6:43 Drake seems like the kind to take "noodles, don't noodles" to heart. 8:03 That is pretty neat! I'm a little surprised to realize that. Don't think any other tile has reflected the nearby tiles in the battle map. I guess roads being inherently flat makes the ocean more visible? 20:34 Pffft! I'm a bit scatterbrained lately. Not sure if I'll be back on track with regular comments again for a few days. Need to prioritize things, focus on creating something instead of just watching.

And finally, at least until I finish the entire list, Black Hole names. You can sense the naming scheme I went for them. On another note, finally finished Calvard event in Langrisser. Yeah, me not being up to speed on either series makes it confusing and spoilerly. Black Hole Recon - Purson Black Hole Light Tank - Byleth Black Hole Medium Tank - Berith Black Hole APC - Zagan Black Hole SPG - Flauros Black Hole Battle Copter - Phenex Black Hole Transport Copter - Halphas Black Hole Fighter - Barbatos Black Hole Bomber - Bune Black Hole Cruiser - Sitri 8:25 Plus, no need for such a thing in this game. 20:11 So, Splatoon naming scheme?

Considering that the last Max map was pretty much entirely naval units and this one has you fighting bith a naval battle and a land based battle I feel that the name Naval Clash fits Captain Drake a big more. While I don’t remember any nicknames I had for things as a child something I have done since the Biyakhees in Persona 5 Royal is calling them Buzzsaws, because they resemble the Transformers Beast Wars character Buzzsaw, in robot mode Buzzsaw is mostly yellow, black and green and combines human and wasp like features. So talking about Transformers and naval related things, one of my first experiences of the brand was a PS2 game based on the then concurrent series Trabaformers Armada, a game that’s considered very hard that I played when I was only about 9, one of the levels has you go fly onto an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean, who at the end of the level is revealed to be a transformed by the name of Tidal Wave who becomes a robot the size of a multi story building who serves as a boss fight, quite impressive back then. And I later watched the dubbed anime which depicted him quite different, while still massive he’s a lot more in scale to everything else and his model in the game is based on his US toy, which uses purple, medium grey and an acid green and applies the paint in different areas, while his Japanese and anime version is purple with very dark grey with concise use of his two colours, looking weird to me despite being his original depiction.

Another odd one out in the bunch, as there's no unit that must be protected. Instead, it's a timed mission, and there are a lot of those in AW 2. Andy's version of this map is very brutal to S-rank on the normal campaign. The AI in the reboot has gotten a lot smarter, and it will actively scout the reefs to find the lander with the missile in it. On top of that, you're basically forced to sacrifice two units on the main island, which means you can't afford to lose any more units. I only S-ranked it by sheer luck at the end when Drake spotted my naval units, but didn't attack them for some reason.
@BigKlingy Жыл бұрын
AW2 has WAY more timed missions than this, it's weird how few are in AW1. And yeah, Andy's Naval Clash is actually a complete nightmare to get a good Technique score in, as the 100 Technique threshold is only TWO UNITS. And you have no Cruisers, which makes Drake's subs insanely hard to deal with. I swear, Drake has a bigger naval armada on that map than the ones where he's actually going on the offensive!

For the crew of OSS Shannan Vinick, Davenport-class cruiser, once they removed the threat of the submarines, their only duties were to scout the rest of the area and, once that too was done, pick up the survivors and carry them to the shore. By the nightfall, the rescue operations had ended, allowing the crew to rest up. After grabbing a mean for himself, XO went to check up on Captain herself as she remained back on the bridge. She was sitting in chair seemingly dozing off. “Captain?” Yet, Captain answered immediately. “What is it, XO?” “Oh, I thought you were asleep.” “No, just thinking.” “About?” “Well, this war in general. I heard what some of the sailors shouted once we brought them along.” “Yeah. Something about us being the villains.” “Do you think so? Do you see us as villains in this conflict?” “I... don’t know. It is hard not think so after getting into conflict with every nation on the planet.” “Exactly. Just how did this happen in the first place? And why along the way we were forced to kill so many sailors?” “You would think you would be happy for becoming an ace in submarine kills.” “Not like this. Most certainly not like this. Just months ago we were happy at getting the needed overhauls for the fleet. Hell, we were even excited about potential fleet exercises with other fleets. Now, we are forced to kill those that could have been our friends. A disturbing fact.” “Brooding here won’t change the reality. Go on, grab something to eat and then get some rest. We need a ready Captain at helm.” “Fine. Take care of bridge for me.”

0:44- Wait hold on, yeah, this really is the only time limit map. I could see one argue property capture being something of a time limit map, but this is the only actual time limit map. Huh, you'd think that would have been used more often, especially given how a timed mission feels very much at home with AW's ranking system as well. 8:40- "Oh, by the way squall." The way it was said so casually/as an afterthought got me good. Xp 8:55- Yeah, I was really confused about why you were panicking about your sub dying since isn't it only the sub that has really good vision? Pretty sure the Cruiser couldn't spot you at all. 10:54- That must have sucked. Hopefully it wasn't on a difficult map when that happened or something. lol 20:16- And now I'm wondering what other funny terms kid you came up in AW that've yet to reach. 20:45- Agreed. He's one of the weakest performances in the remake, but every now and again he'll have some good voiced lines for Max. In other news, more progress in Tactics Ogre Reborn. Next up was just a filler map where I could get some free dragons (and some of the hardest to find ones as well) for an upcoming side quest. Surely this will go well for me... *Rolls a Nat 1* FU- So how I got screwed over in this mission was kind of dumb. On that map, the dragons and the random monsters/undead on that map were considered two different factions, but both seemed hostile to me regardless so I thought when it said vanquish [route] the enemy, I thought it meant killing BOTH factions. In actuality, the map ends early if you kill the the latter faction, so I ended up "losing" because I won the frikin map too early before I could get all of the dragons I needed! The ONLY thing that makes it clear/tips you off on this is them being different factions and Denam saying "We can't afford to lose a single man to these *fiends* in this battle," at the very start. I'm also mad at this since besides the early clear to get this filler mission done if you want to rush it, there's NO reason for those tow enemies to be of different factions if they're not only not harming the other and focusing on you, but even able to heal the other as well! And then *of course* after that first fail I failed at least like three times more since in *ALL* of those botched attempts, everything that could go wrong DID and made me waste more time on a filler map. The only solace on this map is that thanks to finding a ghost to recruit in the Wildwood, I only had to focus on recruiting three units on that map instead of four. Eventually, I did beat that frikin map, but it's just so stupid how frikin bad to worst it went all because the game decided to not make the enemies on that map on larger faction when there was literally no other reason to keep it separate. And then of course on the next map I actually first tried when that map was obviously much harder, had a decently scary boss, AND had an Ally NPC you need to keep alive if you want them to join you (even in spite of that idiot being on the verge of death at one point in my run as he was on flashy red low HP). ... I just don't get my luck at all... But at least that map being first tried was a decent raise to my spirits after that filler incident and the next possible fight for me to do doesn't look all that bad and has what's the last dragon I need to recruit and sell off for a side quest coming up soon. I swear I like this game a ton, but man will it be ruthless to you if given the chance. Xp

That is strange that is the only map like that. Funnily enough, one of the most memorable missions for me in AW2 was also a map with a time limit. I think Cruisers have 3 vision. Having the updated fog mechanics does help you come up with more strategies for maps. I do agree with Max's voice acting too. Sure, I don't like it as much but there are some good lines here and there so I can't hate it. That map sounded like a pain for a very stupid reason too. Glad to see it over with and considering the next map went down in one try, maybe things are on the up for you. As for us, my brother made amazing progress and got the Master Sword back. He has also almost filled in the whole map too so after that, he will focus on sidequests. As for Cold Steel 2, the rematch against the Cryptid went much better than I expected and I managed to put him down thanks to my massive damage on my side. After that, I advanced the main story which also went well. Before I do more story progress, I want to finish up some loose ends just in case and then it is back to progressing the plot again. As for Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero, I took down some more Wanderers which included Master Position who needed the clock between 9 to 11 PM and you must be driving a foreign car probably because he likes flirting which is stated in his description. Now it was time to clear out the C1 Loop with the teams going down no problem which caused the 12th Thirteen Devil to appear, Dying Star, who drives a Mitsubishi GTO and he wasn't too bad. After that, the leader of the Thirteen Devils makes his appearance once again, that being Speed King or Jintei in Japanese and he drives a Nissan Skyline GTR R34 that looks like the Calsonic Skyline GTR race car. He was pretty difficult but I took advantage of the fact that he struggles a bit in the C1 and managed to win on my second attempt. After that we get the credits but we aren't done as the last set of teams has appeared and new group of racers called the 12 Zodiacs have also appeared, so we are now in the endgame section. So for beating the Speed King, you get an extra 3 million dollars which I used to defeat Eternity (who needs 1 million dollars to be challenged) and the one and only Windy Fanfare ( who needs 3 million to be challenged), one of the impossible to beat Wanderers in TXR3. I used this money to buy the cars we are going to need for the rest of the Wanderers as well as Speed King's R34 which will be the car I focus on now since it is one of the best choices for an endgame car in this game. One of those Wanderers who needed a specific car in Iron Racer who only challenges the three classic C class cars. I was using the Nissan 240Z and while I lacked a lot of power compared to him, I managed to get him in the corners and beat him and I unlock the Nissan 240ZG which might be the better car for beating Crying Baby as he only challenges you if you drive one of the 240Zs. After that, I cleared out the C1 Inner with my new car which caused the first 12 Zodiac to appear, Midnight Rose, who also drives a Mitsubishi GTO but it is an older model and it is also modelled to look like a Ferrari 288 GTO. She wasn't too bad either. After that, I started clearing up the Shinkanjou and this caused the second 12 Zodiac to appear, Dark Ringleader, who drives a Nissan 180SX but they weren't too bad to beat either. Finally, I also decided to do the mileage trick since some Wanderers need a car with high mileage and me switching cars around didn't help with that. The trick is you beat any rival, doesn't matter who, and then you let the AI auto pilot the car on the results screen to rack up the mileage. This will take a while but it is what it is.

@@BerserkerRohan Yeah, based off what the others are saying, that type of mission is actually common in AW2, making the limited use here weird. Okay, three's a lot better than I thought, but the point still stands that the cruiser still had no way to see it. And once again, thanks Re-Boot Camp for making the AI play (mostly) fair. In addition, so far with Re-Boot Camp with what we've seen in the LP, even the "worst"/ "not as good VAs" are at the very least passable and fine with some occasionally good or even great moments. I'm going to be thinking about that the next few days with that BS... But at least it's over and the actual hard map after it went fine and quickly. That said, slightly spoiled myself with the upcoming maps I have left and the one after the easier fight I'm about to do can be rough. Granted, that'll be the last fight of the Chapter and the difficulty is deserved, but hopefully that will go well too... Certainly a lot of great progress that he's made recently in TotK and hope it continues to continue as such. Nice to hear you finally got your revenge on that foe. I said awhile back at that point it was merely a numbers/waiting game after you already found the right strategy and now all the right amount of time finally passed to give you the numbers needed to win it. Best of luck with the clean up duty before the plot continues. And once again, a tremendous amount of progress in TXRZ in such a short amount of time. So many Wanderers, 13 Devils (yet again), and plenty of new foes like the Zodiacs taken down. Even if some gave you trouble, the fact you did all of that in spite of the difficulty is quite impressive. And as for the next trend I'm starting to notice in these games, the R34 as well as/and/or a specific Rival's car seems to be the old reliables for tackling a great deal of the end game content/harder parts of the game. Also on one hand I shouldn't be surprised by needing a ton of milage traveled to unlock some Wanderers, but on the other, the fact you still have to resort to a trick to grind up needed milage in spite of all of the racing you've done is absurd. At least you have the trick and it'll eventually be done, but still a bit annoying with its tedium there. Hope that gets done soon and best of luck with whatever foe comes next to race you.

@@jaredfayette2567 At least things will be interesting when we get to AW2 in that case. That does really help. The voice acting is pretty good all things considered. Hopefully that last fight will go well for you. I was a bit worried about how to heal his damage but the options I had seemed to work just fine. That said, for the next Cryptid, I would like to have Seraphic Ring which is the best healing Art option in Cold Steel. The R34 is one of the most recognizable Japanese cars as it has appeared in many racing games as well as the second Fast and Furious movie and this being a very Japanese game, it does make sense that the R34 is one of the top tier cars. I myself also really like the R34 due to it being a powerful 4WD car, making it easy to drive. There is another good reason why I am grinding the mileage too which I will talk about later. The mileage does discourage you from switching cars a lot like I have but it is what it is.
