Finally, a good remix Most musicians tnd to recreate the song with extra processing on the instruments, but fans either want a version like the original but with higher quality of instruments, or a proper derivation, cool to see you make the second one while building upon the original style

I hear you. The lack of delay on the lead line hurts it the most, I think; plus the ugly kick sound. That said, the stereo panning is a nice touch that AW2 didn't have.

I really like the 'updated' feel of this one, as it keeps the chiptune sound of the original intact but modernises the rest. I do, however, think that the additional loop of the intro and the loop point going back to before it, rather than launching back into the main theme, does make it lose a bit of impact. The additional loop of the 0:44 segment, on the other hand, is great; that one feels like an enhancement.

I love that this remix is upgrading the quality while mimicking the soundfont! I was wondering, could you pull off the same thing with Grimm's theme? There are no remixes of his theme ANYWHERE.

Hey thanks, that was very much my intent. The square lead, filter sweep and some of the cymbals here are actually sampled from 2, which is why it sounds so familiar. Grimm's theme would be a fun challenge, but it's very guitar-centric. I don't have access to DS's sample library, but AW1+2 stores guitar riffs as self-contained samples (like in Sturm's theme); I'd have to hammer those juicy licks out in MIDI, and they're always tricky to synthesize without sounding really artificial. It's why I've been leaning towards the more electronic-style themes for the time being. It's not impossible though, and Grimm's theme is an absolute banger that deserves a mix. Hope this gives a bit of insight.

they reduced the extra firepower she gets for each terrain defense star from 10% to 5%, didnt they?

@@MrxD-cg5xs yep... So they usually get around 10 to 15% fire power bonus for Lash playing well and it doesn't effect her air unit. While other co's can easily reach 20 or more fire power bonus. Such as Max with direct units, Nell with her better luck, possibly both Andy and Jack when they pop their powers, Olaf in snow, Eagle's air units that can dip out with his co/super, Jess's ground vehicles, Kambei units in general, Grimm's units in general, Kindle's units EVEN air units if they're one a city.
