Okay i know the song is fire but can we talk about the 7-8 hp tank firing on the 9-10 hp battle copters? Dude is asking to get shlacked.

Eh, a tank in Will's CO zone is 120/100. Base damage for a tank against a B copter is 18. I can see a Will tank doing around 20-22, enough to bring the copter down to 8hp, which will noticeably reduce damage taken in the counter attack from 50 to around 40 or so, dropping the tank to 6 instead of 5 like it normally would. Not effective either way but better than normal, and possibly useful for softening up said copter before going in with a copter of your own if you don't want the copter to take damage. Usually it'd be better to attack with your copter first and then finish it off with the tank, but IDK, maybe you need the copter at full health to deal with an incoming enemy tank on the next turn or something?

out of all the attempts to translate Will's theme from its DS version media into "real" instruments, yours comes the closest to capturing the tone and feel of the original. I've listened to a lot of em, and they either put their own spin on it or change aspects of it and it never hits quite the same as the original; then yours comes along and actually manages to hit within the target of how the original sounded. Kudos for that ....also, the rendition of Brenner's theme into this and mashing them together was straight fire. Smashed the like button for that one.

Looking back and remembering the storyline of DoR, it brought a smile to my face hearing how well you incorporated Brenner's them in a well. Despite only knowing him for a few months (maybe even just a year), Will always looked up to Brenner, admiring at how his belief and hope stood strong to the very end. I would like to think this remix would be what Will's theme song would eventually become later in his life as the C.O. in charge of the 12th Battalion... Brenner's Wolves. Hope Never Dies... Especially with those who possess a strong WILL. Brenner made dang sure of that.

Really, all I did was to attempt an almost exact replica of what the original track was going for. I usually don't do that, since I believe covers should stand out for what they do differently. But Days of Ruin is a different story, given that there's no official release and all we have are heavily compressed rips from the game itself, so it deserves this treatment it so badly needed. I'm a little behind the ball on getting into Advance Wars. During the long wait for Fire Emblem: Three Houses, I started checking local game shops to give Advance Wars a try. Dual Strike was the first one I found, it was easy to get into, I found the first GBA one next, that one was more frustrating.. I really didn't like my COs that crippled indirect units.. Oddly enough, I hadn't heard good things about Days of Ruin. I could see it wasn't using the same formula as the other entries, but the differing art style made me wonder how it played I finally found it, on the cheap at that, and it's been amazing so far. I am roughly 5-6 story chapters in. It definitely feels like a distant cousin of Radiant Dawn, but also clearly different from Fire Emblem or even other Advance Wars titles. I'm really happy that there's still fans excited enough to create content I didn't know this was going to transition into Brenner's theme and back again, that was unexpected, and very awesome!

Glad you liked it! Advance Wars differs from Fire Emblem by being a more arcadey game. You may have a campaign mode, but each skirmish is completely self-contained, whereas in Fire Emblem your party build completely affects how you will play it. Days of Ruin has a worse reputation because it diverges from the pleasing aesthetics the previous titles went for, but most people agree the gameplay is solid and most possibly the best in the series, with rebalanced units and less polarizing COs; it's almost a MvsC Infinite situation. I personally like the idea of going for a darker tone (it's about war after all!) but I must say the writing does not match what they went for. Still, the music is a slappo so that's why I picked from it for a cover.

That's what happens with battlefield promotions some times. Although, with Advance Wars, it seems like COs are some sort of metahuman of a sort - people with unique powers to boost their troops. Or alternatively the whole thing is a tabletop wargame, the COs are the players, and CO powers are actually special rules the players can make use of.

The B-copter usually attacks with theyr mounted rockets (if they are not out of ammo, in that case they use the machine gun) and tanks always fight B-copters with theyr secondary weapon, the machine gun
