Anton, your test strip process is so simple yet so effective, I have waisted so much time processing each on because I can't remember what is what, thank you!!

What a pleasant surprise to find this video. He moves so quickly that it may not be the best tutorial for beginner. I'd like to see a more detailed presentation of split grade printing (without relying on the super-expensive Heiland printing system) and exactly how to optimize the use of a metering system in the printing process. I have several meters and know the theory, buy I've never gotten to the point with them where they are more convenient than just starting with test strips.

If you have an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, there is also the enLARGE app which lets you make all your test and work prints in tiny whole frame sizes and then print the big prints directly as finished prints

I will keep creating a new videos about the darkroom techniques

The printer is equally responsible for the art as the photographer. Amazing.
@orion774111 ай бұрын
sort of, but not really because if a photographer does end up using somebody else to do the printing, the photographer is the one that tells the printer what to do and the printer just does whatever the photographer tells them to do.

that is by far the best way i've ever seen for doing a print thank you for the information

Hello Anton. This a verry nice video, I hope you also show us how you tone the print in selenium and show the difference between the two prints. Regards, Bert.
@AntonIvanov5 жыл бұрын
Bert Cremers Thanks Bert! Sure, we can easily check two print with a densitometer. Usually the difference between a not toned and the toned print is about 0,2 D in blacks!

Love this video - thank you for the education. what are the benefits of the densitometer? please show us selenium toning and its benefits
@AntonIvanov5 жыл бұрын
You can measure the densities of the negative or a print - and it gives you a lot of information about the exposure, real ISO, developing time and contrast. I'll try to keep shooting more videos.

Is there a thriving film community in Russia/ St. Petersburg? Places where you can still print and get developed? Do schools still have darkrooms and stuff like that

There are not many, but still exists some darkroom and commercial labs. Universities has some darkrooms too
