What is your favorite part of this beautiful piece? Mine is the tremolos at 1:47, reminds me of Oscar Peterson’s Hymn To Freedom. Sheet music trivia (first to answer correctly gets PDF): This is the eighth piano blues transcription I’ve published on my channel. Can you name the other seven?

I think it might be the 9th actually! 1. George Shearing Plays Insane Blues 2. The FASTEST Blues Piano You’ll Ever Hear 3. St. Louis Blues - Marcus Roberts 4. Georgia On My Mind - Bobby Floyd 5. 10 Fun Blues Licks 6. St. Louis Blues - Brian Holland 7. This Little Light of Mine - Blues Transcription 8. Johnathan Wilson - C Jam Blues& Chameleon Melody

Great job, Timothy! I believe Henry Butler was one of the best pianists in American history and deserves more attention... I've always been in love with this blues song without words released on the "Blues After Sunset" album (which actually released in 1998, aside from re-release) and any part of this is my favorite...

So good, I had the wonderful chance to see him at NJF a few years back. RIP.

omg the intro to this video totally sounds like the Boondocks flute theme 😂 Listening while I source for candidates. During the opening line I hear some "Just let them talk"- hugh laurie sounding stuff. Excellent playing!

This is fantastic! Great work. I’m wondering if you’ve thought about transcribing the Henry Butler jazz piece “Samba C” from his album Blues and More: Volume One. Have a nice day. 😊
