Wow! That was a thrill ride. At first, I felt kind of awkward speaking to my laptop, but then I began to feel the adrenaline arise and butterflies in my stomach to flutter, simulating that I was present, face-to-face, in the room with the interlocutor and my fellow candidate. Honestly, it gave me a great taste because I believe timing is essential. Sometimes I'm thinking of what I want to say next and that results in me stuttering and becoming more nervous. I learned to control that now, but I feel pretty good with myself, obviously there are certain aspects which I must revise. I strive to thrive in English and reach Mastery C2. Currently, I'm preparing, by myself, to present CAE in August. I have my FCE already and I obtained a general score of 181/190. Could of done better, I must confess, but to be honest I didn't even study. That score is a result of my raw knowledge and I'm proud of it, but I don't want to repeat the same process with CAE. I'm striving to score over 200 points in CAE, I don't want to simply pass it. CAE is a great opportunity for everyone who wants to transcend into fluency and I believe that everyone who saw this video and actually went through the exercise knows what's at stake and that we must comply with the standards that CAE demands. I believe in myself and I believe in YOU. I know we are going to reach our goals and that nothing is going to get in the way and if it does, we will overcome it. I wish everyone the best in all of their endeavors and also I send you my best vibes. :) If anyone wants a buddy to practice with, I would be more than happy to collaborate. Greetings from Mexico! limitlesscolt45@gmail.com

We are delighted that you feel we have captured the feel and essence of what it's like to be following the timing while being interviewed by the Advanced examiner ! You certainly seem to have an impressive level in English so good luck with your exam in August. Try doing it again and record an audio on your phone so that you can play it back and see what needs improving. Keep in touch.

I took the CAE exam today. I have to give a feedback on this video. First of all, it's an amazing concept for practicing, however when I took the speaking exam, they let me speak for more than one minute! I wasn't ready for that as I already said what I needed

Student A: Where are you from? I'm from Lima, Perú. I have lived in Lima all my life. I have got good memories from my childhood and I also have studied here...." Is this correct for 13 seconds? I saw a part I interview video of 2015 and it is different. Thanks for your guidance, my exam is the day after tomorrow! :D
@todayschool-teflenglishlan30964 жыл бұрын
Hi Lisa . Actually, It would probably be under 10 seconds but we gave extra time for people who are a little nervous at the beginning of the exam. I´d say that yours is fine but replace the 2nd mention of Lima with "here" and drop the "memories" bit as it´s slightly off-topic.Sorry for the late response but please let us know how you get on!

Does anybody know if we must talk about all the topics in part 3?
@danijp036 жыл бұрын
ladyanna710 You should talk about every topic but I think there's no problem if you miss any of them
@todayschool-teflenglishlan30965 жыл бұрын
HI ladyanna710. That's a good question. Well, actually you don't but we suggest 3 or 4 of the themes, as trying to talk about ALL 5 means the conversation may sound rushed and not as in-depth as they'd like. 3 or 4 is usually best. We'll be posting some new ones soon. Tony

Having just a minute for the second part is way too little time! I can't show my advanced use of english in such brief time. I was barely able to answer the questions, so I could not even get to the comparison.
@todayschool-teflenglishlan30965 жыл бұрын
Hi Agfd, Thanks for your feedback. We know it can be difficult to complete all the tasks in the given time. I'd recommend you to first compare the two pictures. After that, answer both questions for one of the pictures and then do the same for the other picture with the remaining time. By doing this you will be able to use lots of impressive language in the comparison and in answering the questions. I'd also advise you not to get stressed out. It is expected that the examiners will have to interrupt you after one minute, even if you haven't finished. Lastly; I would recommend you to practise as much as possible because you'll get better at completing the tasks and this will make the difference you need to get an amazing grade. You can use this video as many times as you need and if you want more practice you can also use our Cambridge Advanced Speaking Simulation Course where you'll find 8 full exam simulations and lots of tips and "grammar focus" exercises. You can check out the course here: www.udemy.com/course/cambridge_advanced_speaking/?couponCode=KZbin_FOLLOWER And if you use the following code you'll get it for just 9,99€. Code: KZbin_FOLLOWER Good luck!
