this is the real star citizen gameplay, i feel i spend more time doing ccu chains then actually playing these days XD

I think what we really need is a guide on how to plan a ccu chain ahead of time

Explain in more detail!
@vakeervondelecruax852613 күн бұрын
I think a tracking sheet combined with reviewing past WBs. I went through the ccu games price history of ships working back from my target ship and plotted out the jumps on a Google sheet. This way I knew which WB offers to skip and which ones to buy.

That's a good way to think about it. Maybe I'll just do a whole video on CCU game app.

It was actually your CCU guides that got me thinking about the possibility of doing chains!

Amazing explanation. This one covers everything missing plus extra information that help a lot from your original CCU video. You hit it out of the park with this one. I wish I had known some of this information when I started CCUing.
@misterspiff72886 сағат бұрын
Some people call the CCU system "predatory". But that's an overly cynical view. It's really a blessing or a reward to long term backers. This is a way for long term supporters to lock in good prices for ships that we are likely to want in the future. If you know you are a fan of the end vision for this game, then you can save a huge amount of money in the end.

Patience is key. Having a little stashed Store Cred, to temporarily hold some gap fillers just in case but never applied.

This was really needed. Not a lot of good CCU guides around, especially advanced ones that actually show spreadsheets.

So I need an excel sheet to figure this out.😂 I bought a Carrack to Perseus CCU and the Prowler to 600i CCU... So it's something to start with. I got the Reclaimer down to my cost of $280 (with LTI) from $400 not the words best by all means but decent savings. My biggest problem is I want to see the damn ship icon in my hanger not the stupid pulse bike 😂
@billionaireninjas13 күн бұрын
There is an app for that! Look up star citizen xplorer for chrome.

Always make sure that CCUs with a ship that will increase in value is the one you are upgrading to. Doing a TAC to a Gemini will be upside down when the TAC releases at a higher price.

It was great to save some money with the CCU game this IAE but it also got me to spend more for speculation on what might make a good chain.
@dekulruno13 күн бұрын
This is the trick. But if you planned on buying more ships in the future anyway it is worth it

My fleet is pretty much done, I save around 65% on every single ship. Was a long way for a normal backer like me.
@Storm-Cleaver10 күн бұрын
Without CCUs, my fleet would be nowhere near what it is today. Spending $5-10 per month, and $20-30 on CCUs during events, and $30-50 when a new ship comes out is comparable to any other MMO I play. But I never would have dropped $200+ at once. Which is most of my ships today.
@hardybi454511 күн бұрын
id recommend spending ur credit first then go with cash so it saves more than the wbccus
@Jahru13 күн бұрын
good chains take a lot of time. Also my best savings come from price increases an not WB CCUs, but it not that easy to predict those and you have to follow the development closely for hints. Problem is that it is addictive ;-)

Got a bunch of CCU chains from this IAE and idek what ships I’m gonna use them for, saved some money on my odyssey chain but I have a ton left over so
@zarlorz13 күн бұрын
I find it much easier to just use ccugame instead of a spreadsheet, but effectively it does the same thing. One big tip I missed early on was that on the Upgrade page on the CIG website is to notice it defaults to a view of ships in your hangar, but you don't need to only see that, you can change the little circle next to it for All Ships so you can get warbonds and the like all for ships you don't even own yet. You get gaps, but that's fine, you don't need to have the upgrade all in place from the lowest ship you own all the way to what you want to get. Also what about the end of the chain? Some of this has to do with speculation, especially for ships that have limited time scales (only available at IAE or Invictus, for example). Is it worth it to just get some, let's say no warbond is available, closest upgrade to the ship you want just to try to lock in that price since they often just go up?
@billionaireninjas13 күн бұрын
Yes lock in the price of the To ship first and if a better deal arises switch to the better deal.
@Sharksader12 күн бұрын
I hope I win the Perseus. Maybe I'll be able to do the CCU chain then, haha
@scintilion13 күн бұрын
The frustrating thing is that CIG can increase the price of your anchor ship and void the CCU and possibly wreck your chain.
@jch13862 күн бұрын
I managed to snag several "speculative" CCUs that is holding up a maaassive chunk of my credit
@STRFDR13 күн бұрын
hardest part of this is waiting for the ccu's and not finishing them. I always worry about ships going up in price and ruining my chains -_-
@leonidascarranza789311 күн бұрын
hey! Right now many ships cannot be bought, C2, Caterpillar and many more, you know why?
@vakeervondelecruax852613 күн бұрын
How come the ccu game app is not mentioned? Also, concept speculations?
@billionaireninjas13 күн бұрын
I think I'll teach the old school way and when people find the CCUgame app tool they can use that as well. I dont want that to be the crutch people start on until they understand the game.
