Before start living in Canada, I used to come to youtube to search for English conversations or lessons on things I wasn't sure about and still had trouble with. I literally stopped doing that since I came to Alberta in Feb 2020. My fluency came incredibly with watching Netflix. I watched 1 season of Stranger Things with subtitles and 1 season of Outlander because of the Scottish accent.. then I didn't need it anymore. Not even today. I understand English so much easier now. I'm soooo happy with that.

The most interesting job I've ever had was being a movie/tv series extra. I had a chance to see how movies are made step by step and I got a chance to see many Polish actors. It encouraged me to work in the movie or tv production in the future. However, it was also the most challenging job I've ever had because movie sets usually starts very early in the morning (about 4 - 5 a.m.) and they last for at least 12 hours a day or even longer. The longest one I had lasted for 18 hours! However, I wouldn't have known that it requires so much effort to record a movie, If I hadn't worked as a movie extra.

I enjoyed the video:D I am from Japan👋 The most favorite job that I did in university was a tutor. I taught a wide rage of kids from 8 to 19 years old. What I liked about the job was to try to look into their problems on the academic side - some were turning away from English grammar, some did not like memorizing new words. Those were where I became confident of myself because I was allowed to teach in my own ways. I chose the best-suited textbooks and worked together with my students. I was happy when they make some progress with my ways. Also, I learned that teaching is learning: we tend to keep our memories in mind much more efficiently through getting them out to someone else. I applied that to other things in later life.

That was a very pleasant conversation. The company I work for (U.S Company) allows me to have 5 paid sick days and 10 paid days off. In Brazil we have 30 paid days off for vacation, all national holidays, and 15 sick days. If you got sick for more than 15 days, then the government will pay you for the rest of the days you need, for at maximum 6 months. You can also split your vacation like in 3 vacations of 10 days, or 2 vacations of 15, that helps a lot to keep the stress away.
