Dear Lisa ! I have been following your video since the first time I saw your class. As a Chinese ( Taiwan 🇹🇼) to see your way to teach English I bet you must be the first and greatest one that I have ever known. I have learned English since I was 12, and after I studied Graduate study in LA 🇺🇸,later on by the affinity I went to South America🇨🇴 🇪🇨 🇵🇦 🇻🇪 🇨🇷 🇳🇮 🇬🇹 to propagate Tao ( Absolute Truth of the Universe☯️ ) and based on my English capacity I learned Spanish quickly, in the meantime because of coffee business I know some Portuguese 🇧🇷 and Italian 🇮🇹 and I could read French 🇫🇷 too. By having all the different experiences of languages learning, I notice you really catch the point and know what is the weakness of English learning in foreigners! I feel so grateful that I have found you so I could have kept polishing my English! May God Bless You, because you have achieved a great contribution in English leaning for the foreigners. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️💋🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

This is one of the best and most fascinating channels I subscribe to!!! Also Helps native English speakers understand better how hard it is to learn!!! Stick with Lisa…this type of non-textbook English is going to help you sooo much. Fyi: I use/hear “own up” or “own up to it” more than “own it.” I’m not sure if that’s a regional dialect??? I’m from southern US. They mean the same thing. Also nice bit of random Trivia…the shortest verse in English Bible is John 11: 35 “Jesus wept.” Contextually, it is exactly as Lisa says: to mean not just crying, but overwhelming sadness or grief about the situation in which you find yourself. [33] “when Jesus saw her weeping [at the death of her brother]…he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. [35] Jesus wept. “Crying” does not convey the depth of feeling needed when talking about death or major distress. It was well- translated for these verses in this context.

I would like to see you interviewing judges, attorneys and clerks to learn law words pronunciation. For example : perrogative writ... the 2 "rr" for brazilian indicate a very strong R, but in English its not. So words like that can be hard for us. Also words that end with "gh" like though etc
