The pdf are printable and layed out so you can print them and fold them in a small book you can carry around, about the size of the cube lol. You need A4 paper I will try to make a mobile version of it later, this took some time to make. It might not be prefessional publisher quality but it's really helpful. You still need to watch the videos to understand the pdfs, so I put QR codes linking to JPERM videos. I highly recommend learning F2L first as a beginner because it feels easier to understand than doing corners first and then the second layer. It is just so much easier and faster to do. If your new to speed cubing then this is helpful.
@philrod12 жыл бұрын
As a beginner myself I agree with this. I struggled with second layer but found beginner F2L to be way more intuative. No harder than just solving the corners, so the second layer is essentially free. I also think that being colour-neutral from the beginning is a good idea. I'm not sure the reason for learning to always start on the white cross. I like how Dylan usually demonstrates with a white cross, but explains the moves in a colour-neutral way (matching or not matching). I just wish I could find an intuative OLL/PLL because I really suck at remembering algorithms :(

For the case where the bottom color is on top on the corner piece and the side colors match (the most difficult pair to fix), there are a couple alternatives. One is to just flip it to the other case that is easier to handle. You can do that by inserting it into an empty slot and removing it the opposite way. So if you do R U' R' to insert, take it back out with F' U' F. Now you can do the simpler case. Probably a bit slow, but super easy to remember and really intuitive. And it may be easier with a cube rotation to do L' U' L instead of F' U' F. Could lead to bad habit of cube rotations though. Another way is to insert it in one go. It's kind of complicated, but can be really fast if you get the hang of it. You put the pair in the same place as in the video. So if you have the corner above the slot it goes into, you turn the top layer in the direction of the edge piece. Now rotate the cube so that the corner is in front and edge on side of cube. Assuming U move as in the video, if the slot below where the corner is at now (front left slot in the video) is not complete, you do this: L' U' L U' M F' (M') If the slot (front left) below the corner WAS completed, you do this instead. Only the moves in round brackets change. L' U' L U' M F' (l' U2 L) Note the small l. It's a wide turn. This just re-inserts the pair that was taken out of that slot. For the right side, it's: R U R' U M F (M') or (r U2 R') Note that R U R' U is common in a few OLL algs. So it can start really quick. M move can be done with R r' if it's too slow.

6:14 Proof that I need to study these vids more closely. I only just figured out this particular sequence in the past couple of weeks. I was hitting that solution accidentally, and it was breaking my brain--because it was obviously saving me at least a couple of steps. And, it was so simple. After moving the corner around to the back and flipped the edge up, I was taking the pair around the back way. The reason I was sometimes getting the shorter version was just a matter flicking the top the wrong direction. Now I'm having to unlearn the back way and better commit this way. It's costing me for sure.

Hello guys its my third week week seeing this video.I finally realised it and I am able to memorise all of the special cases.I writed all the possibilities on a book and now a helpful tip for you.There are a total of five cases possible(putting out cases when the pair is solved).Now the strange thing is that this cases can happen left and right so they are mirrored.Now J PERM says 4 special cases cause there is one case that when you seperate the pieces you can match intuitively.So there are 4 cases and 4 algorithms.Just learn them and when the case is mirrored do the same algorithm but mirrored.The problem is that J Perm Gives 2 cases lefty and 2 cases righty.It would be better if he gave them all righty.So recap:5 cases ×2 sided(lefty and righty)10 possible ways - 1 case which can be solved intuitively(1 case means 2)and so on =10 - 2 ===8 which means 4 cases 8 possible ways (lefty and righty).I hope you understand this cause its very fucking hard to explain.GUYS YOU WILL NEED JUST 20 MIN TO UNDERSTAND THE COMMENT.ITS TRU JUST UNDERSTAND THE COMMENT THEN IT WILL BE EASY. Pov:Only speaking about the 4 special cases video mentioned.By and I am not crazy just smart idiot.🤪

I don't know, but as a learning cuber, I find reversing the steps he made most spectacular. Like fast rewind but IRL. Apart from that, I have to agree with most commenters here. For me logic is key. I do all F2L using logic rather than memorizing algorithms. Explaining that really helps a lot!

4:19 If the edge is already in the correct spot, but flipped, you can just put the corner on top and do U R U' R' three times and it will already be inserted. It's really satisfying.
@cleveij1 Жыл бұрын
For that one you can go (R U R’ U’) R U R’ and insert it into the opposite front slot with F U F’ For the back slot right slot U R’ F R F’ and insert with R’ U’ R Either of which can be used in combination of one additional U or U’ turn for the back left slot. Additionally, both methods are easy to mirror or invert to be able to do them no matter where they are on the cube. And both are potentially a bit more efficient than the two options presented here. But I am not knocking J.P. He’s still light years ahead of me and could probably execute either of his two higher move count options twice as fast as I could do either of mine.

there's already timestamps that are literally pinned, why did you put forth effort for something completely redundant
@sarahlim4232 жыл бұрын
@@pk251 I didn’t completely write them all out myself. I first copied the pinned comment with the time stamps, and personalised them to my liking. For example, I took out ones I have already got the hang of and added extra information that I found very helpful. Also, having my own comment meant I could edit to tick off ones I had completed and change it to my liking. You should think about what you are saying before judging someone’s actions :/
