Overview of all algs 👉 www.cube.academy/intuitive-f2l-algs 📌 TIMESTAMPS AND QUESTIONS 00:00 Easy Inserts (4) 1:23 Disconnected Pairs (10) 5:43 Corner in Slot (6) 8:04 Edge in Slot (6) 10:41 Connected Pairs (10) 15:44 Both Pieces in Slot (6) 🚨 Yes I know I messed up some of the visuals (sorry for that) ⁉Should I copy your finger tricks? If you can, yes! That’s why I have the execution for each case at x0.25 speed. However some of the finger tricks might be a bit difficult in the beginning. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYjIZYaEfrKnqMk ⁉In what order should I learn the cases? You could go through the entire video first to get an idea of what cases exist (and try them on your cube!) But would advise learning one set at a time, in the order of the video. ⁉Are these the best solutions for all cases? Yes and no. All these solutions are great, however there might be algorithms online that make more sense in certain situations. The focus of this video is learning easy to understand solutions, not to memorize algorithms. ⁉For cases with two solutions, which one do I use? You decide! Using the one you prefer works, or you can even alternate between two solutions in your solves. Later in your cubing journey, we’ll see when it makes sense to use different solutions for a case. ⁉ Why do you always rotate to the left when solving pairs? For cases where you need to rotate, I chose to rotate to the left so we could solve the pairs using L/U solutions in a way we’ve already seen. If you’d rotate to the right (and solve the pair into the back), you could solve the pair using R/U solutions, but then you’d need to learn new solutions.

TL;DR: 2:10 alternative: Dw R' U' R U2 R' U R. Thanks a lot for the amazing tutorial. I've stopped collecting twisty puzzles back in 2019, and just came back and ordered my first speed cube (still waiting for it to arrive), and plan to finally learn CFOP and (try to) become sub-20. (I was sub-40 back in 2019 exclusively using the inefficient beginner's method for years.) So I'm by no means an expect of CFOP or F2L, and am actually learning a lot from your video. But, while updating my local files for CFOP cases/algorithms, I noticed at 2:10 you mentioned "you'd either have to rotate and use the mirrored L/U moves, or use F-moves", but when you start with a wide D move here, you can actually solve it with R/U moves: Dw R' U' R U2 R' U R.

oh wow 5 min in and already realized how horrible my alg was. that "hide in the back" thing is way more efficient than what I was doing: 1) I was aligning the edge to the color, inserting it inverted, aligning the block, pulling the block back out, U2, then sledging it in 2) I was aligning the edge to the non-matching color of that pair, inserting it so it aligns to the faces, align the corner so the block is inverted, pull it back to the back, U2 to the front, reinsert the edge so it breaks the corner, U/U' return the corner so the white , pull the edge out to the back [forms the block with the corner], then U2 insert 2b) just realized a simplification of 2) as I was typing this: after aligning the corner so the block is inverted, just (L' U L U')x4 U' insert (to left side) | (R U' R' U)x4 U insert (to right side) 3) realized another simplification: after aligning corner so the block is inverted, regrip and sexy move 3 times (without needing the final U/U') 2c) just realized another simplification combining 2a and 2b: pull out to back, U2, (L' U L U')x2 U insert (to left side) | (R U' R' U)x2 U' insert (to right side)
