im usually really good at all the battlefield's except for bfv.. i tend to struggle with this game because of ongoing latency issues that i cant seem to ever figure out (tried everything) and also one frame deaths. i had a similar grip to this but not too extreme like how you showed us in this video.. so my fingers have always been in this position but always hovering above my hard mouse bad with my fingers slightly touching . i gave this a try and in my first game i was so damn accurate that i had 45 kills in bfv in one round lol.. i have NEVER had that many kills in this game so im so stoked to try this technique again.. i would usually be satisfied with 24 kills which i seldom get with this game. thanks so much bro..

I've found that using this technique paired with a slower than normal sensitivity leads to some pretty consistent controlled aim ability. I play CSGO so being able to be consistently preaim when peeking/clearing angles is very important but so is being able to flick fast if you're caught out or need to dodge a flash. This technique lets you do both easily

I do the same thing playing valorant and found that lowering sens a little helps with my control. That said I dont think raising the mouse helps at all and its better to have a good control on the mouse and a slippery surface

You can also increase your sens if you are able to grip the mouse harder. This will fatigue your fingers faster though. There are some people using insanely tight grips that are able to use very high sensitivities.

Everything you said in this video is what I did when I reached global elite in csgo 5 years back. The reason I developed a similar technique is because it allowed me to transition from arm movement to finger movement smoothly without "skipping pixels" when making the transition. For example, if I know an enemy is behind me, I can make a 180 degree turn, use my wrist and thumbs to "almost stop", and use my fingers to make the final adjustment for the headshot. The key here is to keep your shoulder, wrist and fingertips "active" at all times. I also sometimes add more of the thumb if I need more stopping power.
@potapotapotapotapotapota
@potapotapotapotapotapota Жыл бұрын
I can attest to this, I figured this out on my own. It makes tracking a bit stuttery but your flick speed and long distance accuracy will be insane. But like you said, if you stop digging in so much it will allow you to glide better. And your mousepad will make a huge difference with this. Using a very silky mousepad makes it harder to dig in and you will still be able to track really well.

Oh I am using this grip for a long time. But mine is mixed and situatuional. I use side fingers to actualy move mouse itself most of the time. It's a whole group of muscles capable of pixel perfect micro flics and also it's uses anatomy to compensate the camera's movement distorsions in the game. The curve of the path you move your mouse substracts the disctortions and you can easily move your crosshair in parralel to the ground. And since you actively using your side fingers you always have your hand and shoulders muscles free for unexpected enemies.

Do you have an easier time doing this with the g303 (or other specific mice) than other mice? Compared to most other mice, it's transition from side to bottom seem to have a bigger area to put your fingers on. I've dabbled with this technique in my experimentations, and what ends up happening is that I naturally want to lift it higher and higher, because I want a firmer grip for my fingers. So at some point the mouse stops tracking, even though its not that high lifted. This even happens with mice that has higher lod. AND the reason I want to lift it higher, is because if you lift it high enough the mouse sits even more snuggly in your palm also, resulting in more control (imo). Your thoughts on this maybe being easier on the g303 (or other specific) because of shape?
@hxpelives
@hxpelives 2 жыл бұрын
This technique makes some really sus stuff kinda work. I used to main the g502 using this specific technique (mind you i didn't realize i was doing it back then) on, i shit you not, 9cm/360! Yes, that's a stupid sens- yes my desk was tiny and yes the g502 is too much of a brick to play on anything but high sens. This technique makes heavy mice bearable and stupid high sens' playable so long as you can get a comfortable grip (not good, just playable lol).

I have the same mouse you use in the video, but I don't understand how I have to give pressure, in the video you say to push down, but basically when I use the thumb (the same as you hold it) I just press it to the right for more pressure and control , not down, or do you mean the fact that the thumb must be like in the photo and the pressure move it to the right? moreover ... I find myself in everything you say, but in games like valorant, in which you have to perform a lot of micro corrections, you would recommend to always adapt pressure, or as you say even closely you should give less to make it easier? ... as one guy already asked, is it better to make a flick while applying pressure anyway? I always refer to a game as valorant, as in tracking like apex it is automatic based on the distance, but valorant or cs have different recoil dynamics . moreover, I looked at the old video of the optimal grip, I can't understand how to do it, the little finger I tend to put it very "curly", and I feel that the micro corrections I can only feel with the thumb, is it normal? would you have any suggestions on how to get him to use his little finger later on as seen in the old video? or in your opinion it can go well with g303 shrould edition mouse

As a wrist player with medium sens ive been doing this by accident without thinking, when u need to 360 and u gotta lift your mouse super fast after a 180 for example, I kept lifting it a bit by accident when I needed to flick a lot or turn really fast. And as someone who for example will hold his breath or press keys harder in high tense situations, pushing my mouse down was just a thing my body did naturally when I had to track. People were actually surprised how good my aim was back in the day with a medium/high sense, I didn't understand it either, but now it makes sense hahah

I naturally learned how to do this. Only been playing pc/m&k for about about 3 weeks on valorant and I’m already plat 1. I find this technique, along with applying more downward force onto the mouse, when running a low sense, very useful. I usually lean the mouse onto one edge and use my thumb as the brake. This allows me to quickly drop the mouse back down if need be.
@78diegox
@78diegox Жыл бұрын
Tried it on CSGO and valorant on a hardpad. even when lowering my sens from 48 to 69 cm/360 my aim was still shaky haha, but I got used to it after ~30 minutes, using an Orochi V2 really helps with this technique because of the sensor being on the front, so I actually lift it from the back, having the front skates lightly touching the pad, feels fantastic. (Also tried it on quake live at 30 cm/360... DAMN it feels so good, tracking and flicking are precise, and because my fingertips are in contact with the pad, I can do an almost instant 180° turn haha)

hop into aim trainers with your new style to break the habit. I was in the same position mostly cause I played RTS and could never for the life of me get used to FPS but only realized 1 grip doesn't really help for all genres of games. RTS is more fingertip heavy, FPS is more wrist and arm heavy. A lot of people fail to realize this and is the reason they cant xfer to other games. Shroud has this problem when he has to play any game that requires a lot of mobility like apex legends or fortnite. He's so used to only using left and right strafes because nobody ever goes up and down in CSGO. He says these games are hard but they really aren't, i think he lacks the IQ to realize this on his own but I'm sure if someone told him that was his flaw he would be at the top of the game.

Alternative options -Lower sensitivity (#1 issue most new people have. Higher requires more precision while lower requires more effort for flick) -Get a mouse pad with more control -Get mouse feet with more control -Fingertip grip for maximum micro adjustment (not recommended) -Maybe try mouse acceleration (not recommended) -Adjust mouse weight (lighter mice have less momentum but are easier to over flick initially) -Get a mouse with a different shape (you might have a bad shape for your grip style causing you to over flick on one side) -Practice your flicks rather than relying on a new technique (master 1 style rather than 1000 different ones) Overall it’s good to experiment, but smaller adjustments are recommended before larger ones. Also flicking is the most overrated technique. Game sense, crosshairs placement, movement, and positioning are way more important in 90% of fps games.

@@vorkot1 Comfort is the most important. The other things I’d look for are stability, and your ability to micro adjust. A palm grip will provide the most stability out of any grip, but at the cost of the ability to micro adjust. A fingertip grip is the best for micro adjustment while being the least stable. My grip is a fingertip grip with the right side of my palm as an anchor point which gives me an anchor point for stability, and the ability to micro adjust on my left side at the cost of not being able to micro adjust on my right side. If you think your grip is holding you back, then I’d recommend figuring out your weakness in your aim and then adjusting your grip accordingly.

Another option is to use a soft mousepad, like the Artisan Otsu Xsoft. It's the same idea. You press down to add more pressure for stopping power, and you release pressure for better glide. It's also more comfortable to use and easier with the wrists and fingers.

So would you apply more pressure down when target switching/flicking or would you want more a faster glide
@serovlade0

@@johnmerwin5442 It’s preference. Personally I like pressing down on a fast flick because I’m already moving my hand fast and I want the skates and pad to somehow assist with the control. When tracking I don’t press down because I want the glide to feel “clean” and not muddy so that I can smoothly track the target.

Does this mean that the mouse should be as if in the air and not touch the mousepad with the glides?

short range, fast movements = touching mousepad, long range, micro adjustments = flying

I used to do it many years ago with my deathadder but it was the only mouse I had that I was able to do it with comfortably.

So if I get good at this does that mean that a fast mousepad would be better?
