Thank goodness I don't plan on playing too competitively, I can't get the hang of this at all, I feel even slower than just running around normally. I can get the chakra jump cancel to work if I'm standing still, but the second I put movement and other inputs I'm throwing my kunai all over

I found a nice trick for big amount of weak mobs. you simply jump while turning on place and attack once each jump. the moment no mobs are close you charge near the next and can keep going. pretty effective technique on a red shinobi with dmg boosts.

That's the quick advanced at 3:35. You push X+R2, and then L2 a split second after and then jump again. But you're almost just pushing X+R2+L2 all at the same time 😁

I think I was just jumping sooner after the L2 press than usual. That's why it looks a bit different. It also doesn't cover quite as much ground that way.

It's the outfit you're wearing. Some special clothing has added effects, but seal your jutsu, ninja tools, and/or sub. You can check the effects of your clothes by pressing the heavy attack button when you're looking at your load out in Sakura's inn 😁

Are you able to jump off the wall without the landing lag? Right as you're about to land push X and R2, and be sure to aim your left joystick away from the wall. You should pop off of it with the landing lag. But after that the controls are just normal. If you push X and R2 in the air you'll just throw the wire kunai. If you're throwing the wire kunai before you land, it means that you're pushing it a little too early. I hope this helps! Let me know if this answers your question 😁

There are certain moves that buff your attack tracking speed. Some examples are Shisui's Uchiha Shuriken Jutsu and Onoki's Super Lightened Builder Jutsu. If you do a charge attack while you have this buff, you will close the distance on your opponent very quickly.

The stuff in brackets means you push those buttons at the same time. If you're throwing your wire kunai it means you're pushing them a bit too early. Also whenever you see L2 that means dash, so you need to be moving the joystick while you push it 😁

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I'm pressing X and then X + R2 at the same time and it still sends out the wire kunai. Every time. What am I doing wrong?? Also, how do you get yourself out of an enemy combo? I often feel like I literally can't play the game because I'm stuck in the enemy's combo until I die. So frustrating.

If you throw a wire kunai that means you pressed R2 a bit too early. It takes some practice, but once you get the timing down it becomes second nature (though even seasoned players throw the wire kunai by accident once in a while 😅) With all the sub locking and sub resetting that's been added to the game lately, it's very difficult to get out of some combos, especially from attack types. But you can use these techniques to get away from a string of attacks that's not a true combo 😁
