As a high gain player who's constantly trying to find the balance between tone and a NS, thank you so much for this.

Great video. Thank you! The additional gate settings on page 2 settings really make the difference, this is missing on a lot of tutorials of this functionality

This is by far the best advice I have found for the core. And explained in a way that I understand. You sir are a legend!

Very cool! I’ve been setting up hpf/lpf dividers on my bass patches to apply distortion to 160/200hz + while leaving the lows nice and clean. I found applying a NS blocks on the highs let’s you really dial in some solid fuzz drives without too much noise. Gonna give this a go too 🙌

Very cool. I came on KZbin to see if anyone had an issue with the noise suppressor causing a buzz when the release is set too low. It’s like having the release at 0 means the audiowave gets chopped up. I found the buzz was reduced by about 35 for the low e string.

The trigger isn’t on CTL1 but on input I think…right?

lol bought a good standalone noise gate (Zuul) then found your video after 1 day its shipped because i felt the "initial" way of noise gate threshold is eating up tone and is impossible to tame due to EMI noise in my house, guess its time to sell that extra noise gate lol

Thank you so much. I was able to use this information to get my acoustic guitar percussive kick drum sound dialed in nicely with a combination of EQ1 and NS1.

How can I get the Treshold value change dynamically while playing? In my case it is static.

Very informative wondering if you could help me can't seem to get my reverb to come through delays and chorus do but not reverb I'm using 4 cable method
@JaredGunstonTV
@JaredGunstonTV Жыл бұрын
It's all up to fz chain and where your preamp sits in it. You gonna want your reverb after the preamp so it hits fx return, chorus you could try before or after depending on the chorus type of sound you're going dor

Why does Roland make these features so hard to find? This feature should be part of the effects regular options menus not buried where most would never find it. I wonder how many people have given up on this processor because of its many quirks not realizing that solutions like this exist. There has to be thousands of other "fixes" like this and nobody will ever know they are there.

The noise gate threshold adjusts depending on how you play the guitar. And when u stop playing the gate closes.

That’s really creative use for the assign matrix! Sorry if this isn’t totally related to this video but have you found any way to do an “EHX Freeze” type of effect on the GT pedals? I’ve seen some people do it with delays and signal routing on other devices but I can’t quite reverse engineer it for the GT

The "delay warp" or "delay twist" effect is a freeze function when you turn it on. ( one of the two ) anyway.

I think you've got something really important you're teaching here, and I think maybe I get it. But, I have no idea what "kicking back way too high" and so on mean. Can you please just talk plan, non-idiomatic English, that everyone can understand, no matter their age, or country? 3/4 of the world's English speakers speak English as a second language and would really benefit if you could just say "they reduce the volume too much" or whatever you're trying to say. Then also, you're playing a chord and saying, "see?" I can't see what you're playing, what you want it to sound like, so how it's falling short of your requirements. Why not say "I want this to fade out slowly but it is being cut off abruptly" or whatever thing it is that's wrong? Again, I wouldn't go through the trouble of whining like this if it weren't for the fact that you seem to have a very important lesson to teach here! I'm very thankful you went through the trouble to try to help us. I'm sorry I'm just too old or the wrong country to understand it.
