If you're saying there's broken audio, then the fix is 1.) stop listening on your phone and 2.) get a new phone that has stereo speakers, you're hearing the stereo recording condensed to mono and it's canceling

Naw man. Using studio monitors (Kali lp-6’s) and the tone was amazing until the end. The cabs sounded very scooped and bass heavy. Edit to clarify: the unit sounds amazing. Until the ending of the video where you show off the different irs. But because each one sounds scooped, it’s probably the amp settings. But I don’t know how you had it set. Great video though. I think the unit is killer

I ran a side by side comparison of the HX Stomp to GT1000Core and I came away with the GT1K. The pick dynamics, feel and touch response are a lot better. However, the software is atrocious to use compared to Line 6. The Line 6 software is easier to use and there's a lot more IR's to get you off and running but the feel and dynamics of the Boss won me over by a lot.

I’ll agree, that BOSS is doing a better job than most; The least 1 dimensional sounding, least deeply immersive menu black hole & sounds lie they actually had a tester play it for the engineers.

It makes a world of difference to use a real guitar preamp pedal in the effects loop. I have the Kingsley Page, Xotic RC Booster and a Laney. They all sound good. One thing that surprised me is how good the compressor is in the GT-1000 Core.

It’s January 2024 as I leave my comment. The 1000 Core is definitely tempting me for my next amp modeling purchase. Since 2018, I’ve been plugging into a different Boss unit, the ME-80. Since I was at the end of my teenage years, my goal has been to approximate the late 70s Boston electric guitar tone. I feel as if I’ve gotten the meat and potatoes of it in a pedal from a Japanese manufacturer called Rancher, the Goat Generator, but i’m not too thrilled with how you lower your volume and hear white noise when trying to make it clean up. What I wouldn’t mind knowing is if the same tone can be generated in a patch on this unit so I wouldn’t need to insert the stomp box into the signal chain. On the ME-80, I had tried calling up the MT to metal zone emulation and dialing back to the game. It mostly worked, but I wasn’t able to control most of the EQ parameters without calling up the editing software which I wasn’t so keen to try doing. I can imagine that if I purchased the Core, there wouldn’t be much getting around using the software for editing.

I've heard that you can still use the models even in 4CM...how would you have to set that up to do it? Never really delved into the modeling world,- not adverse to it though,- just never got around to it. One thing I would like would be to conduct or see/listen to A/B comparisons. Comparisons between something like a Mesa V-Twin or Throttle Box EQ, Hughes And Kettner Tube Factor, Blackstar HT-Metal, Engl Powerball or Diezel Herbert,- all tube or FET preamp pedals going into an Engl Cabloader. Know what that would be supposed to sound like,- especially for contemp. extended range or low-tuned metal. How would the amp/cab combinations in the modeler compare? Idea for a comparison video perhaps?

Does the GT-1000 core recognize the guitar input level by himself when you plug a different guitar automatically or you should do it every time when you change guitars? Thank you.
@JFoy1023
@JFoy1023 2 жыл бұрын
Short answer no, it doesn't automatically reconize the guitar/appropriate input settings. You can save the input settings for 10 guitars. When you switch guitars you select which setting 1-10 that you have saved for that specific guitar. So you might have your Fender Strat at setting 1 and maybe a Ltd Eclipse with EMG pickups at setting 2. Each time you switch guitars you'll want the appropriate input setting for that guitar. I hope that helps.

@@JFoy1023 Well thank you for such detail explanation. I didn’t know for that other option, but is always great to learn something. The most amazing part of this video is the software that let you overlay the effects block graphics (with transparent background) over the video. Obviously a collaboration with Boss/Roland, perhaps something you should have stated as "Paid promo" in your intro. If not, then who the hell edited your video and made it look like you were moving the effects blocks on the fly, as you were demonstrating? That is talent. Respect to either the software developers, or video editor - or both.

They just keyed out the background of the Boss Tone Studio software in their video editor, in the same way you would a green screen. It’s pretty basic, you don’t need custom software or custom graphics edited onto the video. KZbinrs are required to mention if a company paid them to sponsor a video. If he didn’t mention it, it’s not sponsored.
