Unlike the regular unsoku stance, the unsoku transition after f2 is cancellable with back. So you can f2,d,b, anything. There is a slight delay, you cannnot cancel it immediately so hold back until you see reina backwalking.
@SpaceRacerGAMBIT7 ай бұрын
I know one really useful stance tip - do not transition to stance over and over again, like it was said in video about transition to HWR after CD 4,2. Even more confusion can be caused if you do not transition into SEN after ff2. But what I really like to do is at range 6 do dash into crouchdash into SEN 3+4. This happens so fast, that they cannot even understand what TF just happened. Use manual transition to SEN more especially if you want something like SEN 4 to get your + frames and do not get floated by jab.
@Rhyhmx7 ай бұрын
This is solid advice, also running ff2 back to back raw can be really useful if you don't spam it too often (weak to ss) because most players got used to ff2 > SEN so if you don't transition they either mash out something or defend but unless the person you're playing against has the punish locked they will be a few frames late and you will interrupt them in the middle of whatever they are trying to press. Worst case you get blocked again but at least they will respect the possibility of not going to stance making it so they have to commit to hard reads more often.
@Remirured7 ай бұрын
the best tipp for me (Tekken Emperor reina main) was the unsoku cancel into wavedash back into unsoku its like a backdash with that long ass range mid heat engager + wavedashoptions. It fcks with the enemys mental stack and is quite usefull in small dosis

I recently found out about B1+3 or b2+4 parry vs Lars Dynamic Entry 3 options. You block the first hit then B1+3 the 2nd hits which gives you a guaranteed punish. The parry beats the 1 and 3 but loses to the low (the 2). The benefit from my labbing is that you aren't CH launched by taking the low. Once you've shown the parry Lars players can delay the followups after Dynamic Entry 3 but if he starts delaying the timing, you're able to sidestep. Fairly useful find for the matchup
@jarrav81867 ай бұрын
ill admit i've never even tried using other counters in that situation but im pretty sure youre probably 10 times better off just using d3+4 after the first block, from my experience it works almost perfectly & basically completely stops the Lars from even using it
@IamDeftly7 ай бұрын
@@jarrav8186 D3+4 doesn't work unless they are delaying the timing. The frame data doesn't even work out either d3+4 is 16f, the follow ups from den 3 are 12f for the 1, 17f for the 2, 14f for the 3. You are also -5f after the first block. I don't see how D3+4 works cuz you're getting counter hit and counter hit launched on the low option

One more tip: if opponent always jabs or down jabs after blocking ff2, you can opt to not go into sentai and immediately do low parry. If opponent does down jab - you always low parry, if opponent jabs you can FC df3 launch them. Side note: I discovered sen 1+2 long time ago to launch Crouchers in heat and for good mini combo with HW 2, also if opponent does not press anything after sen 1+2 you can pickup for combo with ws3 but its very difficult and impractical.

Some extra notes on Sentai 1+2 and WRA. d4,3 in particular as it has some odd uses outside of as a low CH launcher: - On SEN 1+2 hit near a wall but not immediately against it, WRA. d4,3 will pick the opponent up and get them to the wall. This allows a wall combo to be performed without spending heat on WRA. 2 into heat dash. If you do happen to miss the wall with this (the spacing is a bit tight) it's okay because it sets up slightly better oki than WRA. 2. - On SEN 1+2 hit, WRA. d4,3 will give you exact oki timing for raw Sentai into grab beating stand blockers as well as all wake up kicks besides spring kick and toe kick, or another Sentai 1+2, which will hit opponents that toe kick or wake up crouching in hopes of avoiding the grab to loop the situation or spring kickers for a tornado combo. If your opponent stays on the ground you can use Sentai 4 to hit grounded. If your opponent likes to tech roll right instead of left, Sentai 1+2 may miss on immediate timing so it becomes worth going for WRA 2 instead for the extra damage, as delaying will make you once again vulnerable to toe kicks on raw sentai oki. Fun little tool to keep in your back pocket for damage optimization or increasing the mental stack on waking up for your opponent. WRA 2 oki allows the raw sentai into grab but Sentai 1+2 loop will lose to toe kicks as WRA 2 gives 2 less frames of advantage.

Reina can do a lot of her normals from unsoku, including her homing 3. She can also transition into sentai or f1+2 mixups.
@BaurzhanG7 ай бұрын
Something else to point out regarding f2~unsoku is you can cancel it into duck or sidestep which gives you access to even more moves. I did some testing and if the opponent decides to retaliate with a jab string you can cancel f2~unsoku into crouch then ws3+4 under the string and with some training launch them since if they commit to a jab string, ws3+4 will hit at such spacing that will guarantee the electric link. This works even against single jabs but not against all characters (depend on each character's specific jab). One other trick is the fact that you can cancel unsoku 4 into crouch for some mental frame advantage
@BernierBrandon7 ай бұрын
Another good thing about unsoku that i haven’t seen many people mention is that you can get 12f electrics at any point during the stance if you df and press 2 one frame later. You can also get 16 frame cd3 this way, though neither of these work this way for the heaven’s wrath to CD transition.

@EliteAssass1n7 ай бұрын
Small addition to the heaven's wrath anti-powercrush option: from +6 and above (hellsweep into wrath) you actually beat armor moves with just WRA1 before the armor activates, so you can collect your free WRA1,4 or even WRA1f SEN1+2 WRA2 since that works on counter hit. Also works against Yoshi's flash!

F2 to stance is genius! Also gotta start doing df4,2 more. This is useful for all levels of gameplay. Well done :)
@jarrav81867 ай бұрын
something else i'd like to add is that if you're in heat, it's a really good gimmick to go for sentai 1+2 after ff2 because even if its blocked, you go into heaven's wrath & people CONSTANTLY forget that you get a massive counter if they try to punch or kick you during that, though against any decent player it'll really only work once. Oh and obv if they duck after ff2 you get massive damage from the sentai 1+2 > iron hand > heat dash > df4, 2, 3 > WGS 1, 4

I have been trying to learn other stance transition options to jump the opponent with stance mixups, so this has been helpful, especially learning Unsoku to WGS. I may use that a bit more to get my WGS options while making my opponent try to guess. Or make them eat a quick 3. Paired with her df 3+4 and her f1+2 3, I feel that is going to make an opponent less keen to press buttons. Been using this as a way to make the opponent wary and get a long range low. So Unsoku >WGS will really kick things into gear EDIT: Having tried Unsoku -> WGS I have had a good bit more success at taking neutral and even making the opponent hesitate cause I threw in some mix-ups. Plus forcing the opponent to think if I will snap a quick Unsoku Heat Engager or if I am going to throw a WGS mix-up. Paired with Raiden mix-ups and counter-hit throws, I can put a good bit of pressure on and go for the transitions between stances. Great content, this is a huge help to me!

I like going into while rising 4 ALOT out of crouch dash and out of HW for pressure, its so op in heat. the timing for their punish seems to be very difficult. at fujin people either jab after at +10 off instinct and get countered by HW stance in heat its hilarious. all they have to do is grab or throw a low they have so much time but it always works. The counter from stance does so much damage as well and if they block after you get all the HW stance mixups, can even cd cancel into while rising 4 again. also good after hellsweep to mix up timings and just confuse the opponent

Not super stance related but I've recently had success interrupting dragunov pressure with uf+1. It's a 13f CH launcher in heat, since you get HW 2 heat dash, can kind of think of it like a steve b1. Just don't whiff and respect the -9 on block. Also, CH HW 1 is also a heat dash launcher with sentai 1+2 -> HW 2f, sometimes I delay my HW mixup to CH fish with it.

I'm new to Tekken and fighting games in general, I didn't bother to learn combos so I can focus in understand the game before putting time to learn when to strike, when to defend, spacing and things like that. Got to Shinryu this way, maybe It's useful to someone that at least in europe 1, people doesn´t recognize at all the range of Lighting Splits Kick and where does the hit strikes, so if you set up people to duck you probably will land it and It's useful if the enemy react slow because It goes over lots of rage art if they saw It comming kinda late, Lighting Wheel is a similar situation but don't go over rage arts, instead people tend to think you whiff and you hit them xD It's kinda funny if you take some distance and attack out of their range It works pretty well. But right now I'm at the point of finally learning a combo because at this point people know how to counter this slow attacks 😵so I think I will implement this moves, thanks! Great work :^)
