Great video and analysis! I'm finding it really hard to get out of blue ranks. I am Nina and Asuka main but everytime I feel I'm doing progress, I go down and then up like a slide. Going to study this...Reina is my number 1 character I play and Bryan is one of my biggest fears...not because he's overpowered but because most Bryans have extreme game knowledge requiring me to play with polish in order to exact victory.

ducking for no reason is my autopilot >< its carried me through to fujin as everyone lower than that usually retaliates or initiates with a high, FC launched everytime. but now its not worth the risk because i get launched when they throw mids and not the usual highs. I really need to replace this offensive ducking into offensive SS. thanks for the video!

Playing Reina against Bryan you should be very cautious with her strings, as Bryan can launch punish -14 frames with his Jet Upper. I've met a lot of Reina's in blue rank, that lost because they were too used to these moves going unpunished.

Yeah. Her fc df4, bt4, 2,2,1, and df1,2 become MUCH riskier presses against Bryan.

You should try doing F2~d Electric. 3 is a nice option as it forces them not to retaliate with a jab. But electric is faster once they know not to retaliate and not duck

DB3 Unsoku is better IMO than B3 unsoku as it gives you some great moves 1. Instant electric (just do df2) 2. Instant hellsweep 3. 11 works even in unsoku 4. ff2 5. 4 The only benefit of B3 unsoku is the spacing trap. Also added to the fact that F2~d is 0 on block. So your electric can only be jabbed out

Can someone explain why 2:25 d3+4 CH didn't trigger the grab?

looks like the bryan sidestepping caused him to be off axis making the grab animation whiff. not sure if this is a bug or not

@@ayushdhar Sounds like a bug to me.. The game registered the CH and both contacts. It should have triggered the grab if the hit landed.

Thats unsoku+4 He is doing f+2, d to enter unsoku then 4 once you enter the stance. You get a kick that is visually similar to crouching df+4, but only unsoku+4 is a heat engager/dash move.

Who cares if they keep breaking throws? Keep doing it as long as you don't get too predictable and get ducked to launch punish. Throws are mostly for repositioning anyways.
