Love this video, very helpful. I've watched it a dozen times to use an adjustment layer to do split screen, but one problem keeps occurring...the adj. layer (mountain scene in this case) on the TOP video remains on one half, covering the LOWER video clip. I've tried everything to fix it. Any suggestions...??

Great! But the split screen in your INTRO looks much better than the final result of the tutorial)) What about a tutorial how to make the animated split screen and also with black borders?
@Serge19134 жыл бұрын
The black borders can be achieved by just trimming an extra few pixels off the clip. So, for a split down the middle with a black border, instead of trimming 960 pixels, just trim off 970 or more. Depending on how thick you want the border to be. Hope this helps!

Enjoying your channel Serge. Thanks for the great tutorials. Was wondering Serge can you have a split screen section zoom to fit the whole screen, with that clip being extended out past the transition split screen, to be on only clip on the timeline. Don't know if that question makes sense. Thanks Serge.

At the beginning of this tutorial the example had black borders between the frames. Can you explain the best way of adding this feature? Thank you.
@Serge19134 жыл бұрын
For sure. When you trim the adjustment layer, instead of going exactly half of the frame size (ie - 960 pixels), trim off a little bit more, about 970 pixels. Do the same to the other side, and you have a black divider between frames. If you want a color different than black, add a solid generator to the bottom of your timeline and pick whatever color you want. Hope this helps

There are so many variables that it’s impossible to answer your question. But using proxies is the standard way to easily edit multiple 4k streams. Oh, and don’t forget to factor in $300 for the nicest editing program you can buy: FCPX!
