Side note - worth noting that you should watch out for Corruption falling off earlier than you think due to Haste and what not. Many times you'll think you have 3-4 sec of Corruption left on the off Valk, then it falls off. I SB early for that reason to be safe. Subjective thinking.

Use rank 1 sbolt to keep corr on twins during execute. Can use max rank when you have haste buffs. Prepots -- Beasts: Can get 5s of wild magic if you time it right for a Snap on Gormok 2nd pot Haste for Icehowl big DS snap. Jaraxxus: WMagic then Speed Faction Champs: CBA Twins: WMagic and can ideally snap on both Speed execute Anub: Double speed because Anub burrows the WM is not worth it.

Thanks for the vid Pummel. Question about that prepot on Beasts--- how are you timing it to get 5s out of it? Timing it with the Fojji WA for combat I only manage to get 1 SB cast off before the pot falls off

@@bodington combat starts around ~10s before activation so I pop it at 11 and its consistent, can get a quick snap with the help of a mage scorch.

Great video man, i took your focus target macro from a previous video you did and used it to great effect on twins. Actually got a purple parse for the first time on this boss as a result. Looking at the actual damage i did, and then looking at logs after, i was 1.5k-2k deficit on what the damage meter showed me and what the logs said i did. Looks like logs wise the nerfed our empowered corruption on darkbane/lightbane when switched to an alternative colour.Warcraft logs is such a grief atm they don't know what to do it seems and constantly changing things. This i believe is partly down to guilds who abuse mechanics to parse 99's and 100's. I don't see the point in doing that if your just cheating your way to a 100 parse. Anyway rant aside, thanks for the videos mate, we do appreciate them, your my go to warlock when i want to improve and i appreciate the effort you put in for us 10/10 :)

I'm curious if it is worth it to use max rank SB to maintain corruption on twins, rather than r1. A fast r1 so you can get back to 2x dmg bolts on main target, or a slower max rank at half dmg.

for Min max: yeah rank1 is better when not lusted/haste buffed, cause not only your normal sb on the main target does 1.5x dmg, the max rank on the off target does 0.5x dmg instead! only when you are below 1.5 sec sb cast time max rank is better. Not even considering that the 2nd valkyr is most likely not fully debuffed!? But use whatever rank you want as long as you keep up this 2nd corruption :)

Could you explain a bit more why it is better to seed add instead of Anub. Anub seed hits 4 targets. Add seed hits 3. and you loose only corruption on Anub. Does it mean corruption tick does more damage that seed damage on 1 add? also while seeding adds , do you refresh dots on anub - UA, COA, shadow embrace, corruption? Great video, thanks

Yeah that is what it means, technically the adds have to die but making the threshold to hit only 1 submerge is tough for some guilds that why I recommend not seeding off anub. If you are parsing with the new 600k limit you can see to that limit with a tracker then single target the boss, throw 2 corruptions for eradication rng. There's a few ways to go about it.

is it ever worth it to use Drain Life to roll corruption or are you always trying to time a SB?

Rolling with SB is way better because it stacks Shadow Embrace, BUT because SB has cast time AND travel time (combined can be up to 2.5-3 seconds) to the target your corruption may fall because of that and it would be a tragedy (especially on Val'kyr for example) and to remove this you can use either Drain Life or Drain Soul, which both have NO cast time AND NO travel time before the corruption is renewed (DS is preferable as it deals more dmg, but you also can cancel it before the tick, esentially just using GCD to roll corruption and in that case there's no difference between DL and DS). So for example with SB I'll usually begin casting it when Corruption is at like 5-6 seconds (don't forget there's that bug that sometimes causes corruption to drop with 2 or so seconds remaining) just to be safe and if I missed it for some reason I would use DS at 2-3 seconds just to keep that Corruption as the stacks of Shadow Embrace are easily gained back and loss of corruption is waaaaaaay worse.

Shadowbolt is way ideal for Shadow's Embrace stacks, but if you need to keep up a BIG snapped corruption you can hit drain as you move. Gnke made a great explanation already above ^.

full rotation on ANUB, don't even look at the adds. If the RL calls for add dam you can seed them but the mana you spend you have to tap which heals the boss. Corruption heals the boss more than the damage its doing.

Question for twins in regards to Rank 1 vs. Max rank SB on off target, rank 1 is obviously a much quicker cast, how many extra shadow bolts can you get on the main target when taking into account the faster cast? Does this make it worth it? I feel like it does but I’m not great at doing the math behind these type of things

Also for execute phase, could you spend the global drain life-ing instead of drain soul for some amount of damage if you don’t want to spend the full time getting a .5x damage tick?

I don't know how many more sbolts you get per math, with the faster sbolts though you get gcd locked with the rank 1. During lust its better to use max rank, afterwards is where it gets thrown into the air. For execute I would use the global to drain soul quick to keep the corruption up. Granted both of these might change with math/new knowledge but this is what I am doing for now and it feels good.

For the boss kill speed yeah its worth it, the buff gets normalized in the logs so I didn't mention resnapping the damage buff. Normal practice, it's worthwhile, but won't show.

Max rank shadowbolt on the second valk is completely pointless as it does half its normal damage not 100x as you're the same colour as the corruption target

Fair point, mentioned that R1 is what people are using. I just see the investment on the sbolt and think that the max rank is worthwhile vs spending the global on a R1. I know it is significantly reduced, but I think people will start using max rank to keep up shadow's embrace/corruption.

Tip for Faction Champs: swap glyph of haunt for shadowflame. You will almost never use haunt on this fight. Shadowflame, when glyphed, slows for 70%. Improving survivability for yourself and your raid
