Also, had a question for you! For the last portion of letting your players develop the world. Do you tell the player who failed the roll (or maybe assumes) that this is what you assume, but it's not true? Or do you just tell them the misconception and let them kinda figure that out as they explore more in the world?

I completely agree, the interesting part are the people not the deities. However, I hate the monotheistic approach to polytheistic religions, of having people dedicated to a single deity. That is a trope I really don't want to see any more, since it is very much a colonial perspective on religions that people in the west simply do not understand.
