Same here. 2000 I got rear ended at 45 mph. Almost ripped the seat out of the trooper I had. I thought I'd be Mr. Nice Guy and just go with massage. It did get better and I held off for a year and I settled for a pittance and a lifetime of neck pain. I'd had a bad experience with a local chiropractor which kept me from trying one again.

I had this issue for over 20 years, no one could do anything about it, it turned into cauda equina syndrome and I had to undergo emergency surgery, I made a full recovery, one of the lucky ones, she does right to get this sorted as soon as possible.

You should have been doing core strength exercises instead of sitting around bending your elbow. The core and back muscles are the key to avoiding all these problems. Of course they do nothing to prevent genetic and hereditary spine issues.
