I've cleaned some pretty bad dryer vents in my 30 year's of carpet cleaning. People really don't think about their dryer vents. It's so important to have this service done at least once every 2 to 3 years . Or if you find that it takes 2 or 3 times longer to dry your clothes. It also helps prevent a possible fire . I normally will offer this service to a client if they have their air duct system cleaned at no charge. Great work on those bad stains from the carpet. I know how bad they can be some times. From one rug sucker to another have a blessed day and a very prosperous future.

My stubborn PITA brother didn’t listen to me and our mom about dryers and keeping them clean. That is until sparks and flames shot out the back of the dryer and they had to renovate their whole laundry room. One thing I always tell people that have washers and dryers, even in apartments, is to use a vacuum attachment for lint traps. Even just don’t that every couple of weeks does a lot.

Never use a flexiduct to connect a dryer. Throw that shit in the trash. Have a HVAC tech or DIY yourself a new duct with rigid vent, and crimp and press-fit it and tape together with HVAC tape (NO SCREWS). If you have a gas dryer you are at a 200 times greater risk of a fire than with an electric dryer. I will never have a gas dryer ever. And if you pay attention to all dryer fires in houses, look at the photos of the dryer from the fire scene - they are always gas. Open flame + powdery lint = kaboom.

Tip for ya- If you are near college apartments, or close enough that the gas won't kill ya, send notice to the student apartments off campus. Used to manage them and we could tell who had a clogged dryer vent by their electrical bill. We would pull the list, go and clean it, the following month the bill would drop massively. During busy times we hired out as we didn't have the staff to clean them all as we had 400 units.. The cost savings for us was massive and worth the clean out cost as we would recover it in the first month. Imagine a full day just going unit to unit.

Those are 3 extremes!! I can't believe just how good the first job turned out...but seeing as its a farm you know its mostly just dirt as opposed to oil and grease as well...it looks fabulous!! As for the dryer vent...how could someone not notice the room getting all humid with the dryer running... I'm not sure if it's part of your service but if you pop off the back of dryers theres tons of lint and usually change in there as the bottoms are totally closed in. Those are 3 fortunate customers as you guys deliver nothing but grade A results:-)

The same thing with disconnected dryer vent happened to my mom when I was growing up! When the guy who was going to clean it out was like "it's so clean that I don't think it's connected" we took a look and, yeah, the flexible part connecting the dryer to the wall had a big hole in it. I grew up with it like that so I just figured that dryers produced a lot of lint but I'm not sure why my mom never noticed 😅

13:10 you may find that a soft brush works great on these floors. A lot of the 'black grime' in this sort of tile (which is often used in foodservice) is attributed to the grout. Water and oil will erode it over time, as will hard brushes. Source: 10 years in restaurant maintenance
