For this retrofit, we worked on a Volkswagen T5.1 Transporter however the same logic can be applied to a T6 also.

Do not understand. I have a T6 2016. I wanted to change the steering wheel like in the video and I was told that the car does not have a steering wheel computer, no button will work

Question, I have a replacement multi function wheel but dont want to use the buttons on it for anything so can I just change the wheel which came from a T5.1 the same as mine with having to code anything? I just want to get rid of the plastic wheel and replace it with the leather T5.1 I bought?

Yes horn will work as long as you plug in the airbag
