CBNAAT is not mandatory if the patient is sputum positive and not high risk. however, if the presumptive TB case is from high risk, previous TB, pediatric TB, EPTB... then CBNAAT is always done to rule our rifampicin resistant TB. for details pls download the PSM Booster update file from the link: psmsimplified.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/PSM-Booster-by-Dr-Mukhmohit-Singh-v03.pdf?v=3e8d115eb4b3 and read the section on Tuberculosis (page 8)
