I strongly believe that the sharing ideas is the way forward in woodturning. Long may it continue. Encourage the new up and coming woodturners. Promote the craft. A big thank you to you Mike, and to all who post good videos. We can all learn so much from them. There are good ideas, the not so good ideas, the safe ones and the not so safe. They allow us all to make a judgement on what to try, and what may be best to put on the back burner until our skill level increases. Keep them coming. And to the new up and coming, a message. Practice practice practice. Thanks again.

Sharing and promoting is good. As good as videos can be, I want to encourage everyone with a woodturning club nearby to check it out. Getting with other turners I believe is the best way to gain knowledge. Videos can supplement and be useful to folks, especially if they have no other means of gaining turning knowledge. Nothing beats hands on with feedback. Unfortunately, not everyone has a club nearby.

I was gonna suggest the same thing, a round nose carbide tool but I didn't think carbide tools were in Mikes vocabulary. LOL!!!!!!!!!

3/8" HSS bar stock is so cheap, I'm going to make a cove tool to sit beside the rest of the 3/8 and 1/4" bar stock tools (point tools, round scrapers and round skews).
