He has 50 shows he filmed. Wonder if you can buy them to watch. I can’t find them on Google.

As an avid skier, hiker and camper, I found watching this fascinating. Particularly when the resorts like Perisher was shown. It's amusing to see how fashion and trends have changed over the decades. For example, I didn't see a single person wearing a (baseball style) cap, nor skiing googles, nor helmets. Which today are as common as the snow itself during this time. And the camping technology then, while basic in today's standards, still works effectively. Such a classic show. 👍

Another fantastic film. Brings back memories of driving my 1980 40 Series SWB in the Snowy Mountains in 1984 with my narrow mud +snow tyres. Great memories.

Amazing to hear the narrator with a still slight British accent. How things have changed in 40 years.

1981 may have been a good year for snow but 1982 was one of the worst. We spent two weeks on Mt. Buller and pretty much had the summit to ourselves. Only two other people stayed in the chalet we were at. The village was like a ghost town. Enough snow for us kids to play around with but no skiers. A complete non event. Kosiosko looked reasonable from a distance but we never went there. Snow seasons are hit and miss I guess and we sure missed it that year...

Couldn’t just park and leave your car on the side of the road and go for a hike these days! Upon your return someone would have stolen it for a getaway car and burn it out shortly after! If you’re from Sydney anyway!
