A boat journey from Wyndham to Derby in the wet season showing the spectacular waterfalls of this rugged and virtually unknown coast. The barramundi fishing, crocodiles, coastal whirlpools and giant tides make this a magnificent wilderness.

I can’t put my finger on it but these ‘80’s ~ early-‘90’s productions were so much ‘friendlier’ than post-‘00’s documentaries and infinitely more so than today’s . . .

Because its just Malcolm and a camera. No production company and fake presenter. Early Steve Irwin stuff was really good but his later docos were forced and not genuine. Also australia was a wilder place back then.

12:40 better off keeping the SS prop as a backup because as I learned the hard way once & with the same 90HP OMC motor you'll take out your lower unit if you hit something very hard with the SS prop, aluminum ones bend & save the lower unit.

Loved watching Malcolm as a young bloke. It's hard to believe that his LandCruiser crushed and killed him, such a sad story. While believe his wishes for it all to become a National Park at that time were genuine but I'm not sure if he realises that would mean no casting nets for mullet or collecting oysters for tucker in this day and age so he would just starve while enjoying the scenery.

She bounces around the billabong hoping to score some witchity grubs that she will bring home to her Joey. He enjoys those fine tuckers as they are palatable, nutritious and easily digestible. Right.
