Enjoy the pie and tea. Not being from the UK, it is really nice to learn about Christmas traditions in other parts of the world. Thanks for this update...!

Hey Jen! Nice build of Cobra you do. Just be careful with cockpit doors: the left one was not used to onboard/offboard cause it is obscured by throttle, trimmer plates, flaps and the other controls mounted on it or near it. The left door was used mainly to bail out (jettison the door, then jump) while the right one was used for onboarding/offboarding the plane. Good luck building it!
@JenesisDesignsandModelcraftАй бұрын
The doors will be closed, but I appreciate the heads up

@@JenesisDesignsandModelcraft welcome! I've just seen the right door taped-up and the left one open on this video, so decided you are ready to repeat the common Cobra builders mistake :)

Mince pie & tea! A jolly good combination anytime of the year 🙂 I'll take coffee with my mince pie 🍵 A Merry Xmas to you & your family Jen 🎅🤶🌲

Enjoy your tea and pie, when I was a lot younger, my mother made, over the holidays probably 80-100, very very popular and next to the short breads were the best, haven't had any real ones in about 50 years, so please have one for me, great video.

My grandaunt used to bake shortbread cookies and make fruitcakes during the run up to Christmas. I can still remember those aromas wafting through the house I grew up in.

I do love a mince pie!

Thanks Jen...it's a kinda disappointing about the fit of the wing to the fuse. Glad you found a solution. I wish Arma Hobby had resolved that before release. Looking forward to the next. I've never though about building a P-39...but this build is growing on me.

Hi Jen. Great first part! Your vids are fantastic, everything explained in a systematic and logical way. So engaging, already hooked on this build! 😁 Oh ..... and apologies...... I don't like mince pies! Controversial? Oh well! 🤣 Take care and have fun with the build. 👍😁

My wife is just starting her Christmas baking. I'm hiding in the basement building the 1/32 Trumpeter Harrier GR7. I used to love Christmas, but the stores and TV pushing it right after Remembrance Day ruined the festivities for me. But I never shy away from family Christmas baking lol. I would be building my model while eating a few advent calendars 😂😂😂

What’s even better, Jen, is flavored clotted cream inside in the lid of the mince pie. Bit cognac or whiskey flavored cream will do me. Shame I now live in the Netherlands and I cannot get mince pies unless I find a good expat shop that sells them.
@JenesisDesignsandModelcraftАй бұрын
This flavoured clotted cream of which you speak ... not something I have come across before. I must investigate!

So the model is being constructed after the delicious pie was deconstructed. 😜

If it helps at all, I use a piece of 1/4 " plate glass about a foot square (edges smoothed off). I tape a fine grit wet/dry down on top and just circular-sand the offending part/pins. Just wipe off and carefully glue the edges. Dunno if this helps, but you are welcome to try it. Dane

I have used that technique in the past, on vac form parts

We rarely see those cute little mince pies in the US (oh I'm sure there's some on Amazon and probably at Brit's Pub downtown Minneapolis), so we just make a big pie (no top crust) and eat it whilst ignoring the pumpkin pie :) Always enjoy when you pros explain how you fix all the annoying aspect of the hobby. I was wondering how you'd fare with this kit. Thanks.
@JenesisDesignsandModelcraftАй бұрын
I would pick pumpkin pie every time, given the choice

Atomic Shrimp has started his advent calender with a mince meat sammich. So if you want to go into that a little deeper...

I think your tea's gone cold Jen, best get a fresh brew on - mine's NATO standard please....!! The kit seems to be a bit disappointing, I thought Arma Hobby were supposed to be the new Tamiya?!
@JenesisDesignsandModelcraftАй бұрын
It did a bit, and mine's also NATO standard. This kit isn't at the level of the Hurricane, that's for sure. Something I will talk about in a video at some point.
@iannicholls7476Ай бұрын
There’s a modelling justification for eating mince pies. I wash out the little aluminium trays and use them for mixing paints. Wait a minute, what nonsense am I talking? No justification is needed for eating mince pies!

I am not above utilising pie dishes for things other than pies ... if anyone ever struggles to get hold of lead foil - look no further than your mince pie container
