A lovely, inviting, and accessible piece, enhanced by your excellent registration. Hereford certainly brings that warm English sound. I agree with the wistful tone of the piece. It's almost melancholic, but enjoyable, nonetheless. Thank you, Paul.

Like you, Paul, I do think Rowley is worthy of further exploration and his music is sadly somewhat on the neglected side these days . . . but there is so much music out there I don't suppose it's possible to give every composer the attention they might deserve! This organ arrangement of his 'Siciliana' is really lovely and you create the most gorgeous soundscape on the wonderful Hereford Father Willis Organ sample set as we weave our way through this wistful music. Another Advent treat . . . an I'm enjoying every upload more than you can imagine. Thank you - and - B R A V O !

Thank you, Graham! I discovered Rowley’s music a few years ago and I know there are one or two pieces of his that are aired quite frequently, but the wider oeuvre is little played. However, it is perfectly suited to English sample sets! I’ll have to try to record some more in the New Year.
