Good to see the SA observing the seasons of the Church Year now. And our Session sang "When Jesus comes to you" on one of our first specialling weekends of our College days. Open Air Meetings in Walthamstow Market, then a Divisional meeting in the old Walthamstow Citadel Hall. Autumn 1978.

In my parish, we were not allowed to sing carols until Christmas Eve.

There is a lot of homeless people in London can the church halls not be opened up to be used permanently for the homeless people until they can find them somewhere to live rather then keep them on the streets sleeping in shop doorways night after night.... All churches have got kitchens and they have toilets that's all you need a couple of blankets and a pillow in the church hall is better than the shop doorway....

There are all kinds of legislation governing such things, for all kinds of reasons; it can't be done just like that.

As a homeless person, I strongly advise everyone research the HISTORY of SA, notably their "Coffin Sitting" scheme days... And their reviews online, esp the consistency among complaints. They need to be investigated on behalf of the safety of vulnerable people. SA ......DESPISES homeless people. I've witnessed and experienced personally. I cannot bear to be abused like that - therefore "the streets" are preferable.
