In the New Testament only the book of Hebrews explains the meaning of the Sabbath. It is a foreshadowing of our rest in the gospel. ( see Heb. ch. 4 )

actually, yes they are, easter was never mentioned in the bible, but passover is, and in my chruch we believe and do everything thats in the bible, we dont add, or remove holidays

If you follow sabbath, you have to follow in its right way. You're not supposed to travel, ride your bike or car to the church or anywhere, you can't write, don't use elevators, not even switch on the lights. Now, can you do it unless you stay at home and rest and worship there alone or with family? When you pay for taxi, you're breaking Sabbath law, when you switch on lights of the church, breaking it again. The only thing is you can walk to church if its not far from your home. But still, what about the switching on the church equipments?

No sir. The observance of the Sabbath is the fourth commandment. The other holidays are not commanded.

The Sabbath is number fourth of the Ten Commandment Moral Law. It starts with the Word REMEMBER the Sabbath day to keep it holy. It is a memorial of Creation of the Earth and reminds us of this event. Review Genesis Chapters 1 and 2, especially the first few verses of Chapter 2. The other Holy days are ceremonial laws which were connected to the sanctuary services and the coming of the Messiah. These are given with the dedication of the Sanctuary service. These were all fulfilled at His death and ended with the sacrificial system in the books of Exodus and Leviticus especially. By studying the Bible correctly, we come to this correct conclusion. The Bible is in perfect harmony throughout. It does not contradict itself.

@@dushii.bonita1305 , There are 613 Commandments from GOD in the Scriptures. Some of those being commands to observe specific days. Like Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, Hannukah and Pasce. Some of those other commandments also deal with people whom add to and remove from the Word of GOD.

Which day of the week is the seventh day? Which calendar do we use? If we take the seventh day serious then we must surely make sure that we stick to the original seventh day. If the original seventh day does not matter, why does the modern day, seventh day matter? Saturday is not the Sabbath.

Genesis 2, God’s rest on the 7th day had no evening or morning attached to it like the other days of creation, signifying that God’s rest had no ending,. Therefore, His rest is everlasting! By faith in Jesus we enter into (God’s rest) Hebrews 4. This is why we are no longer bound to keep Israel’s old covenant weekly Sabbath rest, because we have entered into God’s new covenant eternal rest by faith. For this reason Paul taught the gentiles that Jewish festivals, new moons, sabbaths and food laws were not required to be kept under the new covenant law of faith. Romans 14, Colossians 2:16, Hebrews 4 The Sabbath was a shadow of the rest that is in Christ. Jesus is our Sabbath rest. Keeping a day wont save you, but placing your faith in Christ will.
