True SDA will never do such things, but I can't wrong you for saying that, there are SDA in the USA who have deny the faith and start supporting same sex marriage which Adventist does not support one bit. We believe in the seventh day sabbath that Jesus himself kept, his followers and disciples kept it long after he left for heaven. when Jesus foretold of the destruction of Jerusalem in Matthew 24 he told his followers to pray that they don't have to run away in the winter or on the Sabbath day, Matthew 24:15-20. this happen 40 years after Jesus left the earth. John says in Rev. 1:10 "I was in the spirit on the Lord's day". there is only one day God refers as his holy day, and that's the seventh day sabbath. and this was when John was an old man. we see no evidence that the Sabbath have been taken out of the 10 commandment, nor did the Paul or any of the disciples gave any indication that it was no more since they kept it after the master return to heaven. The spirit of God will lead you into all truth my friend, I have been studying the history of the roman church and how they hated the Sabbath and persecute those who recognize it as God's holy day that he created from the beginning Genesis 2:2-3, and how they try to change the law of God by telling people Sunday is now as holy as the Sabbath. all this talk about Jesus in now my Sabbath is not bible, The 10 commandment stills stand, and the day is coming when God will make it plain.

Exodus 12:16 is talking about the annual feast of unleavened bread 🍞 which will last for 7days. This feast will start a day after the Passover ( meaning ) it will start on the 7th day Sabbath and end on the 7th day Sabbath again. The first day of unleavened bread 🍞 isn't the first day of the week. You can read it also in Leviticus 23:4-8

When Jesus was born from this world (Earth) with both Foster parents as Jews/Israelites... So how come when you study Paul's teachings, there is nothing about the Law. But Paul introduces God's grace and embarked more on the Holy Spirit of God and Christ Jesus. Genesis 2:2-3 marks the creation of the Sabbath day after God finish the earth. How do we know its the ten commandment Sabbath? because we see in Exodus 20:8-11 that this is the same seventh day that God blessed and sanctified/hallowed, he reach back to the days of creation and point them to the importance of the Seventh day. (compare Genesis 2:3 and Exodus 20:11). God said the Sabbath is his day, and the Sabbath is holy and he wants people to stop pissing all over it. Isaiah 58:13. Jesus rule over the Sabbath - Matthew 12:8 Jesus custom is to keep the Sabbath - Luke 4:16, mark 6:8, Mark 1:21. when Jesus died his followers still kept the Sabbath - Luke 23:56. When Jesus was risen he spent 40 days with his followers and teach them all things, no mention of the commandment being put away - Acts 1:3. The gentiles started to observe the Sabbath after Jesus went back to heaven - Acts 13:44. Paul led by the Holy Ghost kept the Sabbath after Jesus left the earth - Acts 17:2. Read all of Hebrews chapter 4 see how paul talk about the Sabbath. Paul said if Jesus had change the day he would have given another rest day - Hebrews 4:8-11. Your way of counting is the problem. Do you know Jesus Christ himself on Thursday and Passover was of Friday Jesus called it 2 days. Any portion of a day before sunset is counted as a day. Your reasoning is out of sinc with scripture. The seventh day is the sabbath. However, there is a New Covenant, and this covenant is called the covenant of Grace. With the covenant of grace comes the gospel of our salvation; for it is grace that bringeth salvation not the Law, nor the sabbath. The reason for this is the fact that one needs to be righteous in order to be saved. The Bible says if righteousness comes by the law Christ has died in vain. Also, the Bible says the law is not of faith. Salvation is by grace through faith. Salvation speaks of a born again experience through a repentive heart, not joining a church to keep a day holy. Jesus said, be ye holy evenas God is holy...not keep a day holy. Believers go to church on Sunday to honour Jesus glorious resurrection on the first day of the week. We dont keep it as a ssbbath. It has no bearing on our salvation. In the covenant of grace what merits our salvation is our faith in the finish work of Jesus. not works of keeping sabbaths. "For if thou shall confest with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God has raise him from the dead thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believed unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation. Are you a believer? If so, according to Gods word YOU ARE SAVED. This is unmerited favour, because salvation is through Christ finish work on the cross, and not base on anything of man's doing to merit it except to believe and repent and accept the Lord as saviour. He is the one who would cleanse you from all sins, and impower and teach us through his grace to live holy in this word. I am not about proving Sunday. Sunday is as much pagan as Saturday. Exodus 23:13 says we are to make no mention of the names of other gods, neither let it be heard out of our mouth. So, if that was the only issue it would be important enough to be addressed. The paramount issue is with the day itself and the calendar on which this day is found. Calling the days of this calendar week after the original allocations of scripture will not make it the sabbath either. Saturday is a counterfeit sabbath, not the Sabbath of Scripture. His words were, _"we're having a crusade right now;"_ it was a Tuesday. He went to his car to retrieve a flier and gave it to me. After giving it a cursory glance I asked him, _"are you going anytime for the week?"_ His response was _"I go every night."_ I then quickly asked him _"if it would be an imposition to tag along?"_ He told me to _"be ready by 6:45pm as the crusade starts at 7:00pm nightly;"_ I got baptized the same Sabbath. Glory be to God and the rest is history. When God was creating He never called the days of the week like we are doing and that is very clear according to scriptures. Trouble starts when people bring in pegan names, but if you read the same book that I read you will realise that Luke 24 puts it clear and the whole world knows the day Jesus Crist came out that is why Easter is never celebrated on any other day but Sunday. How can you judge. Saturday is valued as Sunday is. When Sunday is Sunday then Saturday is Saturday.
