And, kinda, you get pretty similar salarys sometimes. You work on an factory and usually you all will get just small salary. If it would be communism, that farmers would get 50-80% paid, and the rest to the social founds, so, like medicine, transport, education... If someone just takes it all to himself, it means that he's capitalist. No matter how he calls himself: communis, democratic socialist or republican.

For there to be "entrepreneurs" in capitalism, there must be people willing to sell their labor, and the greater the supply of labor, the cheaper it becomes. Hence, governments maintain an unemployment rate, as these unemployed workers are the ones who force those with jobs to work for less and less, because if they don't want to, "there are unemployed people out there wanting your place". Marx called this the industrial reserve army. So, this neoliberal idea that all it takes is effort for everyone to reach the top is a childish illusion. Big companies, together with the bourgeois state, not only do not help but hinder a large portion of the population, who will remain unemployed to ensure lower wages and greater exploitation of workers.

I mean, you're right about capitalism, but the socialist (not communist, because communism has never been really established) regimes we've seen or are still seeing so far have undergone major difficulties which have to be dealt with according to the necessities of the people. I'm not saying the USSR was the best place on earth, no. It had its problems. But it surely was far better than what we experience today because of capitalism. It is easy to find many videos in this platform that show people longing for the good old USSR days and how better life was back then. I don't think that people who really thought they were being oppressed would be so glad to have that oppression back.
