Adventure Grand Bahama to Great Harbor Cay Seven Hours of Misery. Embarking from Grand Bahama Island, our anticipated voyage to Great Harbour Cay in the Berry Islands soon unraveled into a harrowing odyssey. Though we had meticulously monitored the weather, our optimism waned as our seven-hour passage transformed into a grueling test of endurance.
Unlike the steady grace of a sailboat, our Mainship 430 trawler struggled against the relentless assault of the waves. Each crest and trough became a battleground as our vessel, lacking the heft to command the seas, was tossed about like a flimsy cork in a tempest-tossed ocean. Seven hours stretched into an eternity of discomfort and unease as we fought against the elements on our journey to Great Harbour Cay.

I definitely would have been sick after going down to check the engine. That was too many twists for your brain to deal with. I wonder Monica if your sunglasses are dark enough? I see you squinting and that can make you so much more tired and give you headaches. It is nice to see people who are not seasoned sailors deal with the ocean. It's not as easy as most make it look. Nice work!

Our routine is an engine check every hour. That day after the first couple we stopped doing them. It’s too dangerous to go into the engine room when the boat is rocking that much. We kept a close eye on the gauges. And the sunglasses are cheap bi-focal. Probably not the best for being out in the water 🥹.
