I must say, this game should be translated into several languages, the dialogue programming that this game has is the best I have seen in almost any game in the console catalog, I am working on a translation into Spanish and it has gone very well, May the great Hudson Soft who developed this great video game rest in peace.

Fortunately, Hudson Soft only published this game. The developer was Now Production which actually still exists!

In a way this game is a precursor to Super Adventure Island 2. They are both Metroidvania like adventure games.

Ah man i still remember playing this game as a kid and this boss at 54:35 used to scare the fk outta me for some reasons lol. I had to try like 30+ times to be finally able to defeat it. This boss was my biggest childhood fear ngl.

I finally got around to this last year (needed a game to test out my MISTer) and I was surprised how difficult it was. I had a really fun time though, but it feels sorta unforgiving in spots. Practice makes perfect though, and the game is fun to practice.

Well, once again - that's a really nice send-off for the Famicom, that's for sure. Too bad it didn't sell that well (I mean... it was the middle of 1994 and the last Famicom game, after all), but eh, what can you do. The story is simple - get back the animals stolen by an evil 'shadow', as it's called in the manual from what I recall... and still, that's more than enough of an excuse. I like that it's an exploration platformer, too; never enough of those!

Getting the Skateboard and Axe from this game is equivalent to getting the Blades of Chaos from God of War (2018). Starter Equipment in the first game but is an endgame weapon in the latest installment.

you need to pick up the small block on the top platform in the previous room, you can then place it in the next room so you can jump off it onto the platform near the egg

I remembered playing this as a kid not knowing that you can hang on to logs with the pick. Played again after seeing this playthrough and was finally vindicated for being crap at games when I was a kid. Btw I still used an adventure island 4 password as my password for nearly everything and it has never been considered insecure lol
