Great video! North of Big Bend is Davis Mountains State Park. You can get some good views there as well. Also in the area is Balmorhea State Park which features a spring fed pool that stays 72 to 76° year-round. Yes, javelina can be aggressive - especially if they smell food cooking. I had to chase several away one evening as I was grilling steaks. :0

I hope to someday see this park and do some camping there as well. Did the campground fill up when you were there? Did you make a reservation? Was this a trip you just did this month, the weather looked pretty good. Thanks for sharing with us and giving us some great scenic views.

Hello Adele, I made my reservation for the campground a couple of weeks in advance. The campgrounds tend to be fully booked but I was able to snag a cancellation. I went there last month and the weather varied. It was cold on some days and warmer on a couple of others. You tend to warm up pretty quickly when hiking though. I hope you do get a chance to spend time at Big Bend National Park as the views are even more spectacular in person! Thank you so much for watching my videos!
