This is my favorite story. It’s the first story of yours that I ever found and it happened to be just after I had to put my dog to sleep. She looked like a wolf, so this story touched my heart in a major way. Thank you!

I think this is still the most therapeutic asleep meditation I've made, I intentionally made it to help people use their natural abilities well (like the ability to imagine) and to help them to get their innate emotional needs met in healthy ways, rather than over met, under met or inappropriately met. This was designed to address things from depression and anxiety to tackling things like addictions.

Do you have any bedtime stories that help with nightmares?
@DanJonesHypnosis7 жыл бұрын
I've not specifically got stories for that but many of the stories, especially this prince story which is therapeutic can help. Most nightmares happen due to worrying or highly emotional thinking through the day about things that doesn't get resolved, and these emotions get resolved in your dreams but the emotion levels are heightened in your dreams, so something unresolved that caused anxiety during the day can lead to dreaming a metaphorical representation of this with feelings of cranked up from anxiety to fear during the night. So the best way to stop nightmares is to learn to relax and when any anxious thoughts happen, to relax yourself and to also resolve the thought - this stops it being dreamt about. If there isn't a resolution - like worrying what people think but not being in a position to ask them, then writing it down, or calmly imagining the best case scenario of what they think will help so that you think 'what will they think?' and then follow this up to close the pattern by imagining what they think. Any recurring dreams or nightmares will be due to a recurring issue or worry, so addressing this will stop the dreams associated with those worries.

I had nightmares too, and other sleep disturbance. Sleep paralysis, etc. Always sleepy during the day because of lack of sleep every night. I talked to my doctor and he sent me for a sleep study. So, after 42 years, I came to find out I have Narcolepsy. I am now medicated and haven't had a nightmare in 14 years.

This video is my favorite. It starts my Playlist of abouta dozen videos. I have a sleep disorder in which symptoms include nightmares and even sleep paralysis. I am medicated for this disorder, however, until I started to listen to you every night, I wasn't getting restful sleep. So, I want to thank you! I am helping your channel by 'viewing' a Playlist with approximately 7 hours ofyour videos every evening! It's the least I can do for you for helping me sleep so much better! Thank you, Dan! P.s. to everyone else, if you want to use this playlist, by all means feel free to do so! kzbin.info/aero/PLARv8xKyoZeF5_suXvphfB9k2OF0gw5Cd

I fall asleep before it finishes, can someone tell me the story synopsis?
@edouardnigma13517 жыл бұрын
You falling asleep like that means it works just fine. The objective isn't a nice story, although it might be a nice side bonus, but rather to promote restfulness. That means the story, and i'm sorry if this offends you in any way Dan, isn't the main focus for the listener from his point of view, Lucy. It was my goal to get restful sleep quickly, and the Dragon's Fire series worked for me. Fell asleep before part 1 even finished, and I don't even care that I didn't hear the end of it. Sometimes, its not the beauty of the destination, but the flowers you see on the way, that truly matter.

What does it mean when you say HEALING sleep story does anyone know?
@DanJonesHypnosis4 жыл бұрын
In most of my video descriptions I describe what I mean, these stories are to address worry, stress and anxiety as well as helping the listener to fall asleep. For example this one covers our ten innate needs and how to get them meet healthily like our need to give and receive attention, our need for a sense of control, our need to have a connection to others etc. It also covers how to use our essential skills like the ability to use your imagination etc. This is (the original of which I made in about 2004/2005) my most therapeutic guided meditation.

Dan if you could just trail off at the end of the story instead of the abrupt request for likings. If I fall asleep that abrupt change wakes me which kind defeats the purpose of listening to the videos
@DanJonesHypnosis4 жыл бұрын
I do just tail off, there is no request for liking etc at the end, that would defeat one of the main points of the video, that is why I get it out of the way at the beginning of the video, so that one you are following along to the meditation you are undisturbed from that point on with the focus just being on the therapeutic metaphors etc and guiding you to sleep. If a KZbin introduction plays saying to like and subscribe etc then this means you must be listening in a playlist and listening to the start of the next video. I always strongly recommend against listening to playlists for this reason and because ads may play between videos which could also be distracting. I recommend using the compilations or listening in the app or through a streaming service like Spotify, Amazon Music or Apple Music so that you get just the meditations with no KZbin introduction about liking and subscribing and no ads.

Im sorry if I am rude, but when in the first few minutes you managed to repeat "purpose" and "wonders" like 10 times each it became annoying.
