Finally a 1gen xterra, i have the same year 02 4x4 3.3l, painfully slow on the road, but offroad so far i have been impressed i strongly believe that xterras are the most underrated 4x4 in north america, reliable, easy to maintain, simple without to much fancy electronics and most important of all really capable...

They are grossly underrated. Watch them go the way of the early Bronco and Toyota FJ40's and become collector's items in the future. Even old IH Scouts are starting to go up in price again.

@@latigomorgan Yep i and i missed that they are really cheap, i bought mine for $2000 ready for a roadtrip, the pro 4x are starting to gain traction on the used offroad market i think those ones are gonna be the most wanted of the xterras in the near future...

Great rig and setup. My only thing what you need a radar detector for, when you drive by a school zone? I never went past 80 mph in my X😮 Ok so they had one X run from the police doing 110mph!😅

Could you go more into depth on the creation of the front armor? it’s the best I’ve seen

The frame horns get cut off and a plated. Then the mountain points are the frame horns for the lower front mounts and the bolt for the front most body mount for the side mounts. Hope that helps!

We like the ARB locker, but talk to Nisstec lifts in Colorado. Let them know Rogue Overland sent you and they will give you some love.

The Xterra is a body on frame design so it’s basically a truck. Your Escape will do just fine depending on what you intend to do.
