On our quest for fuel, we decide to head into the unknown, towards the closest town with a fuel station. On our way we stop in a small mining town where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance killed are rumored to have been shot and killed. We visit a museum dedicated to the two outlaws before making our the final trek into Tupiza for fuel.

When you mentioned silver in Bolivia 🇧🇴, came to my mind that the country was exploited during centuries because of Silver. Las Minas de Plata de Potosi, Silver Mines in Potosi , is one of the most mentioned topic during the Colonial Times

The history of Bolivia is filled with exploitation both from internal and external sources. All of South American history is really interesting. It helps explain both where the borders are now and why certain countries have issues with others.

Uds no vieron Confianza y San Fransisco.

Loving this trip around Bolivia, on my bucket list to do. How are the KM3's doing on all this tarmac road driving? Look like they are doing OK on Goose?!?!

They've held up really well! I'm generally an AT guy, but we've been impressed with these. Way more miles than we expected.

The video gives a good sense of back-roads travel in the southern Bolivian Andes. Re Butch & Sundance in the region, read Anne Meadows's book Digging Up Butch and Sundance. Details here, diggingupbutchandsundance.wordpress.com/details here: BTW, the town where the outlaw pair died is San Vicente, not San Vincente.

We read that one. There is some compelling evidence they didn't die there or even visit there in other books. Who knows, but it's fun to visit all of these places and dream about what-if. 👍
