For those of us that did not attend the expo, this is EXACTLY the type of content we want to see. I don't want to rehash all the same equipment that is available. I WANT to see the new and innovative products on the market. This video was a home run for me, great content.

After doing some research trying to find that Tuff Stuff Halo light, I finally found out how to get that light.. It's actually a CVT UFO light. Not sure where the break in communication was but for anyone interested, that's how you can get it

Thank you for letting us know. I hadn’t checked there website. Appreciate the research.

I called tuff stuff and they will release these lights with the hard cases on "black Friday". But like you said, CVT along with kamprite and many others sell this same light without the hard case and for about $150 cheaper!
@Westwardeast2 жыл бұрын
@@averagedadbuilds5813 CVT has been selling that light for years. In reality its just a cheap light from China that these companies' suppliers have offered to them. They have not invented anything new.

I may have missed it but did the battery guy mention if it was ok to use these lithiums within the engine bay? I would think heat may be an issue...
@OperationalOrigin3 жыл бұрын
Yeah thats what I was wondering. The life of the battery would be reduced a ton! I would say it would lose 80% of its life in the heat of an engine bay
@AdventureBuilt3 жыл бұрын
He said the starter batteries are made to be used in the engine bay and heat doesn’t affect them until a certain point. Scott said that the heat shut off is crazy high and wouldn’t be an issue.

#1 antigravity batteries - nice idea, but you did not discuss amperage draw when winching, most lithiums I have seen wont handle any more than 200A draw... a winch can see at much as 300-400A...this will damage/ possibly start a fire... not to mention price--- $800-900 #2 ultimate9 - I have seen many videos of this in operation, iif you watch 4WD 24-7 on youtube at all there is a guy that runs this pedal tuner, and he does really well utilizing the settings for control, fuel economy, or straiight power.. pretty versatile, and not a bad price.. have thought about getting one of these along with the KDMAX tune on my Tacoma. #3 guzzle h20 great idea, and small form factor for a water filtration system. the $1125 price kinda kills it for me.. I'll stick with my jerry can, and playtypus gravity filter backup.... and it packs smaller... #4 tuff stuff liights- good idea for lighting up a campsite.. but II typically run with a $30 headlamp, and a mag mount flashlight for cooking off my tailgate.. ill save my $$ not to mention, those cases are huge, and take up soo much cargo, or roof rack space..
@AdventureBuilt3 жыл бұрын
#1 Thank you for your input #2 I didn’t think to ask about amperage draw and am not super knowledgeable about electrical, I was pretty impressed at the questions I was coming up with on the fly 😂😂😂 3- Trevor and I actually picked up the Ultimate9 and just installed them and are doing a test now. Spoiler alert they are awesome! 4- I don’t know why I’m numbering my responses but it seems appropriate, do you agree? 5- I agree the lights are a little overkill, but some people like overkill and if we do a bid group ride might look into something like this for a group hang out and wait for the aliens to arrive!!!

How do the batteries charge? Lithium is almost empty at the full charge voltage or lead acid

I don't trust the battery guy. There's a reason lead acid batteries are used in cars and trucks over lithium. His assurance that they're just as good, if not better, isn't giving me warm and fuzzy vibes.
@AdventureBuilt Жыл бұрын
Lithium technology is definitely better in the aspect that it will last double or triple a lead acid battery, it’s super light weight and is very reliable. The only downfall to lead acid is the temperature ratings. If you try to charge the battery when it’s too hot or too cold, it will kill the battery. They make batteries with internal heaters to keep them over the cold mark but nothing for the heat. I still use a lead acid for my starter battery but all my storage or house batteries are lithium.
