Ill be heading to Vic next month. I didn't know that Victoria had a butterfly garden. That is super interesting! I usually rent a scooter from Cycle BC and drive along Dallas Road all the way to Cadboro Bay to get a smoothie from Moka. Thanks for the knowledge.

Take the Directions to the Butchart Gardens, and when you come a Traffic Light on West Saanich Road, Large Arrow shaped Sign saying Butchart Gardens this way! But if you look across the street, you'll see the Butterfly Gardens. So if you've got Time.... go see them Both!

Honestly, fisherman’s wharf is overhyped and pricey. I’d recommend eating downtown or somewhere else.

Its a cool place to go view the unique boathouses/float homes, but if you do, keep in mind people are living there so try not to stare in the windows!

How proud they must be to so successfully dupe such a Canadian elected official! This country , China, has broken international law in the strait of Taiwan and the South China Sea , continues to subjugate large segments of its population, flaunts trade laws at will and is attempting to spread its anti democratic ways globally. A country that pollutes indiscriminately while Victoria prides itself on its ‘greenness’? What hypocrisy is that? The Mayor of Victoria in her biography on the Municipal Website advocates ‘open government ‘-a concept of which the Communist Ambassador’s Government is firmly opposed! Did the Mayor consult with the Minister responsible for foreign affairs before embarking on this suicide mission? How Beijing must be celebrating another inroad into the west -right next to the USA. As the country investigates so called Confucius Institutes ( one was closed at Mac Master University) and other such surreptitious moves in our country by the Communist Chinese we have a Canadian Mayor wanting to cozy up to China? Aww... you wouldn't like it! There's no Snow to make snowmen, and if you want to go skiing you have to drive 3 hours north into the mountains. But there are good things too, like if you stay near the Ocean, you'll avoid being bitten by mosquitoes as they only survive around fresh water lakes. Think you can handle it? My wife and I have been here since the 70's.
