Happy you didn’t shy away from showing your emotion here, most people wouldn’t. I commend you for it. Nature has a funny way of bringing that out of outdoorsman, it captivates you and reaches you in ways nothing else can. Besides the birth of my children, and my wedding day, few memories touch those that I’ve made in nature, when nothing else matters time seems to stand stills and everything else is shut off and it’s just you and the water and the woods. Some days having to work for it is more rewarding than slamming fish, humility and respect for nature goes a long way, and when lessons are learned and dues are payed it all comes together. Thanks for sharing your life long memory with us. I look forward to making my own, tight lines.

I have 2 more years before I retire as a corrections officer in Michigan. The first thing I plan on doing right after spending 24 yrs of my life working in a maximum security prison is go spend a week in Alaska. I can’t wait. Trust me.. I’m counting down the days. I guarantee you when I leave , I too, will shed some tears on my way back home. Awesome video again Kyle ❤🎣🎣🎣🎣

When you teared up, I did too. I hope I can visit Alaska and go fishing within the next few years. I'm so happy for you.

Great video. I’m originally from Gaylord, now live in Eagle River Alaska. We do Yakutat every spring, it’s an awesome place to start the spring-summer fishing season. We always stay at Leonard’s Landing so I could really relate to the video. I love your Lake Superior fishing episodes as well did live in Gwinn in the Yoop for six years and love the Yooper land…and pasties. I will be back this August, staying on the Ausable River in Frederic, definitely bringing the fly rod. We always have space during our Yakutat trips if you want to jump in, you’re always welcome. Great video and awesome channel, keep it up👍🏼…BOBBER DOWN!!!!!

AK is addictive to the right person. I first went as a visit in 1997. There's a group of people (now old friends) from all over north america up there every year who make it an annual trip. I was on a flight out of ANC to SEA this weekend and the couple in front of me were up for the first time, they mentioned the places they visited, and they're already planning their next visit. ...maybe I'll run into you one day. There's another YT guy (Mav from MN) who went to AK for the first time a bunch of years ago with another bunch to make a video and he seems to go up there at least once a year on his own channel.

Awesome video. Alaska is on that next level. Been there twice ,fishing for Reds. 100 fish days were the norm. Yes we released all but 5 per day. Dolly varden are excellent table fare, even though the ones we caught had a light orange/gray hue to them . We caught ours in the Kenai river. Sure would like to know where you were fishing.

I was wondering if there's an app or how you figured out where you could port or camp at off the rivers because I can't find the information online anywhere and I'd hate to just keep going down the river until I find a place to sleep LOL if you could help me out that would be cool. Just some constructive criticism…. You keep getting your tenses mixed up. Become vs. became. Have become is the present perfect tense. Became is the past tense. In terms of formal grammar, 'have become' is a present perfect tense While Becoming is in the Present particle; example : catching steelheads are becoming less frequent. I hope that helps you understand.
