If you want to transfer fish they will stay alive longer if you put 7up in the water. I used it a lot when I was younger and transferred fish from one pond to another. Keep the secret.

That would've gone wild on a fly. When you said you'd just seen a fish ,' rise' I doubted it was a perch. Trout , roach , rudd , carp are more your surface feeders. As you know I watch all your vids. Sometimes I m pretty sure I recognise a few places you get to. Always love it when you catch a trout . I'm a fly man myself ...lovely fish to catch

When we used to fish for carp. We mixed Wheaties and grape soda to a dough. Then put a big ball of it on the hook. Sometimes with a nightcrawler sometimes by it self. Get that carp. Great video keep them coming. Happy New Year to you.

It works great for catfish as well. Go get that fat carp. I would love to see it. Good luck.
@tonycamplin86073 күн бұрын
What are wheaties and grape soda, I also don't know what night crawlers are, some type of insect I assume.
@johnb-lz9mg3 күн бұрын
Wheaties are a breakfast cereal and grape soda is a grape flavored soda pop. Crush up the Wheaties and add grape soda to make a dough. Then put a ball of it on the hook with or with our a worm. That's what a nightcrawler is. A very large worm that comes out at night. Good luck and hope you try it someday. It works well for carp and catfish over here.@@tonycamplin8607

Thanks for watching mate, I hope you had a great christmas too! Unfortunately I don't know any spots around edinburgh but i'm sure if you put the time in you'll be catching no problem!

A great round up of your year. Some of those waters didn't actually look that abandoned though, the first one in particular had such good purpose built paths. No local is ever going to tell you that the place is full of fish, they'll always say that there isn't anything in there! By the way that was a wood mouse. Good luck for 2025.

Loving Ur videos mate, U are literally me about 5 years ago only difference was I either walked literally everywhere or rid or my dad took me somewhere in his car, and it really is such a buzz fishing for trout I miss it so so much so I am so glad I have come across Ur videos till I can get back out there and at it again myself, And the comment U made about having the bottle to explore new and other places is so right I never new how many mardy people there where out there trying to tell ya no U can't fish here or no there's no fish here, the only thing that ever stopped me fishing any where literally was a sign saying no fishing and the amount of people out there that tried to tell me I wasn't allowed to fish some where the amount of arguments IV had with people but I am always legal with my fishing licence so I never backed down and I got threatened with quite a lot of some people but my arguement was always if there's no signs up saying no fishing then I will and I am fishing U will not stop my fun and passion of fishing, So please please keep up the gd times and also when U are fishing can U also give a shout out on the name and location if possible thanks
@callumnoblett49054 күн бұрын
He keeps a lot of locations secret so they done get trashed and also because he had special permission to fish them. Good on you for having a licence. We all hope that licences put a bit back into restocking etc. Remember that a licence doesn't mean you can fish wherever you like. In some countries yes but I. The U.K often not. Always best to try n obtain permission off the landowners if you're not sure. Save on all those rows you've been having. Tight lines for 2025 and enjoy your fishing

Hi George, me, a mate and our 2 missus are visiting the Lakes in April and I wanted to ask your recommendation for an awesome beginner hiking/trout fishing experience like you always show us. None of them have ever caught before. I was thinking your classic Haweswater + Tarns from Mardale Head? Any tips would be wicked. I just got a Fish Rig 180 for the trip too! Amazing videos keep em coming

With carp U will never fail with bread especially floating bread and not even loads of it just enough to make a nice little hook sandwich and quite literally size 10-12 hook (barbless) piece of bread no bigger than size of the end of ya thumb place Ur hook shaft in the centre fold ya bread over and tight pinch on the shaft of Ur hook or even same size piece of the edge crust of ya bread with about quarter inch bread on it so ya can thread Ur hook point down through crust round all the way through bread and back out just through crust again a little bit like the jelly lures U was using and either chuck that out free line or with float but I recommend bubble float or controller float and set Ur drag to quite loose just a little past how Ur gunna be having it to play it and U don't even need to strike just let the carp take off with it and let the carp and the drag do all the work and soon as Ur spool is flying off with line just gently lift up Ur rod to playing stance whilst just slightly tightening Ur drag to play the carp, it's never failed me and IV never had to use any micro barb or barbed hooks like ya say Ur self it's just the joys of fishing and U just never no what Ur gunna catch if Ur gunna catch any thing no matter what the size still always a joy and a massive buzz so on that note till next video happy fishing and tight lines to ya mate
