The Owl House has been renewed for a shortened 3rd season. We want at least another full season length!! Dana posted on Twitter that we will be getting a short season containing just 3 special length episodes; the equivalent of 6 normal episodes. It is confirmed that this will be the last season. This was NOT Dana's choice; she had been hoping for a normal 10-20 episode pickup, and not expecting a cancellation. As The Owl House is one of Disney's most popular currently airing shows, my speculation is that this cancellation was brought on by budget constraints due to COVID-19 and the inability to run the Disney parks. Dana tweeted that if we want to see the show continue, TOH merch, or anything else TOH related, snail mail is the way to go. Disney still reads and responds to snail mail. This is an effective way of contacting them. They don't appear to read DMs and emails, presumably due to 1) the sheer number they receive, and 2) the fact that people mailing letters are statistically over 18 and therefore able to earn and spend money (like on, say, cable subscriptions or merch).
